Yes, it easily goes into 7th. It is possible that your derailer is actually bent and needs to be bent back out some as well, but watch that park tools video on adjusting derailers that were posted earlier before trying to do any bending of the actual derailer.

Its also worth noting, most trails and parks and greenways say over 20mph bikes are illegal. So if you changed your speed setting and raised its class, you will want to lower it back down. I have no idea how hard they enforce that but just something to keep in mind.

I am almost all-electric in everything. With the exception of my electric car battery, all my batteries come inside for the winter. Lithium and cold do not get along. My 80 mile range car in the summer drops down to about 60 miles or even closer to around 50 if we are near zero.

I haven't been able to ride mine for a week. Right after my initial first couple rides, I hurt my elbow working out in my shed and have limited use of it. I can't even get my bike open to pull my controller out to send it in yet. Hoping it will be well enough to get that done soon. Its been hot...

The derailer or the guard? The derailer being there is probably going to cause your chain to jump off a lot. There are adjustments screws in the derailer for fine-tuning. The guard being jammed on it will cause you not to be able to use most of the gears or even shift out of gear.

Losing top-end speed by raising the wheel size higher is expected. I don't understand why you are having to raise it so high to dial in the odometer. That should be just a matter of a few decimal points to dial it in, Not having to go up to a 25inch tire size. To me that would point more to a...

The more important factor for that hill is probably when does it come up on your ride? If it's early in the start of your fresh battery, it shouldn't be an issue. The more important factors is gearing and how drained your battery is by the time you get that hill.

I just went with a cheap pair of non folding ones. As I dont think I will be folding the bike up all that much. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MQJ3C3R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

LOl, So I am the troll yet others sit here and blame the paying customer for changing settings that don't actually harm their bike? How's that work out? Nevermind, I wouldn't want to be accused of baiting again.

Nice. Wonder what that new gear set will do for your range, I just go in some new pedals for my bike. The default ones are to thin for my big feet and kind of slippery. Hopefully get these new pedals on soon.

Ok, are my posts coming across as angry? If they are, I apologize, I am not angry in the slightest. Just trying to point out that isnt something we should have to do have basic functions of our bikes.

Says the man that refuses to answer that 1 simple question. It's not a hard question. Its one Lectric up till now has still refused to answer or admit fault too. Again, sure its only going to affect a small portion of the bike riders, so we should just ignore them then and blame them instead of...

Ok, so having to harp on this again. Why should we have to spend another 200+ dollars to be able to change the tire size on our bike? Or to set our battery voltage at a safer minimum. Or even to adjust the most harmless setting of correcting your speedometer readout. The answer is, We shouldn't...

And that is where we differ on battery tech. Rc cars has had built-in lithium protections from the start. In the flying world, we could not have that. To much weight. No casings surrounding our batteries. The RC Car world thought us mad for doing it. We were on the edge pushing serious...

Nope, I'm wrong about lots of stuff and will fully admit it when I am wrong. I am an expert in certain parts of technology though, that doesn't make me flawless, I can still make mistakes but they are going to be far less than the stuff im not technical at. Just you and nobody else has actually...

Most folks that are not gear heads won't even know how to get into programming mode, to begin with. They will most likely never even go into the settings, in fact I bet that most of them wont ever get 20mph. Its the guy who has a little bit of knowledge that will be the one that gets in there...

My apologies. It was DamanJohn that mentioned RV stuff. Ah yes, the biggest falsehood of them all. Only charge your battery to 80%. Never charge to full. Yes, this was so many years ago. Nicads were notorious for going bad and developing memory issues. Lithium is not that old battery tech. Even battery university still spits out this nonsense. With...

Then the battery charging protection failed on those devices, which can happen. It's not the batteries fault. When a device is fully charged the charger should cut power to the battery and not continually try and trickle charge. You are right in that it's not good to leave them plugged in but...
