Moving along now!
I tightened up the motor and installed the new ebike chain.
Used the blue locktight on all parts.
I did not change the rear cog because the wear in the old chain was above .75 but not to 1.0 percent. I used the Z1eHX wide chain for one speed bikes from KMC.

That aluminum idea worked like a charm! It was so snug that it was very hard to slide the motor in. Once the threads showed thru I put the nut on and then used the wrench to pull it through.
I had to use a 2mm spacer. The only way I see around it is if I file down one of the washer/spacers on either side of the bracket 2mm so that everything fits flush.
Okay, I just added the smaller 2mm shim/spacer to the BB motor shaft and put two 5mm washers/spacers with the longer extra long hex screw on the securing plate bracket.and tightened it up. It all fits nicely flush with no gaps or anything.

Thank you so much for asking that question because I didn't know I had the two extra spacers and two shims (2 and 3mm) for the BB.
All the spacers are the same width of 5mm.

First question: I slid the motor thru the BB and it sticks out 13mm, not the stated 11mm. Is this an issue? I wonder why they specifically state the 11mm number?
The length of the BB of my classic Raleigh Sport is within the range at 69mm.
Looking at the instructions now I think they mention...
