Looking for a replacement for cassette on Rad Rover?

I used the 11-34 version that u posted. I never found a LBS that had a removal tool that could cope with the cable . I cut a slot in the tool but was unsuccessful even then.

Looking for a replacement for cassette on Rad Rover?

Amazon has 11-34 replacements, unfortunately swapping it out is kind of difficult because of the motor cable. Boltons removal tool looks to be pretty good but $$

    Transporting Radrover 5

Got one of these a couple of weeks ago. Up to 140 lbs/ 70 lbs per bike. https://www.amazon.com/Hyperax-Receivers-Electric-Mountain-Compatible/dp/B088YKQ9TD/ref=sr_1_6?crid=3G80TUOYGQSBQ&dchild=1&keywords=fat+bike+hitch+rack&qid=1618255630&sprefix=fat+bike+hitch%2Caps%2C197&sr=8-6 Only used it...

    Rad Runner 1 upgrade failure

It has magnets, the disc they mount on are pretty flimsy though and they are easy to break Amazon sells a cheap two piece repair kit that doesn't require the crank to be removed.

    Rad Runner 1 upgrade failure

It possible to turn it down in the settings to any value you prefer, however this sounds like communication protocol. I do note Rad now sells (2) different versions of the optional add on LCD for both Runner and Mission. Same LCD but obviously something must be different.

Does anybody here ride the mid-step radmission?

You might check to see if a Bolton ebike upgrade might work , it works for most of the prior Rad bikes. Although the motor is rated “nominally” 500w you can generally run them higher .on the LCD u can set the limit $219 is a bargain.

Anybody swap out their chainring for a smaller one for better climbing?

This was from my spares box, so no identifying it’s origin. Look for bcd 130 48T chainrings on Amazon or EBay . for safety I also replaced the outer chain ring bash guard with a larger 50T and changed the spacers from 3mm to 5mm thickness. I may add a couple of links to the chain at some point...

    Brakes/Pads - RadWagon

They were not great initially but after about 50-100 miles of bedding in they were much better. The guy in the video hadn’t done that. That explains why they felt how they did. Anyone who has replaced disc pads on a vehicle knows this. Done that job at least 40 times on multiple vehicles. They...

Anybody swap out their chainring for a smaller one for better climbing?

I installed a 48T so I could keep up with the pedals in top gear on my commute , gears 2-4 are actually useful now.

    Radcity broke for 4 weeks.

There have been reports of that on EBR

    bafang 750 watt hub motor,

I wonder about that as well. My hub drive had no problem with "kerbs" and my 10 mile return commute from work was 80% uphill. With the hub-drive on trail you attack slopes as fast as you can go to build momentum. My mid-drive is better at going up hills slowly, which is nice when on trail and...

    Brakes/Pads - RadWagon

I bought the Juintechs in Bolton Dec holiday sale for $99, they were better than expected once they “bedded in”. Definitely better on the Rover than the stock mechanical Tektros which I felt were not adequate.

    Radcity broke for 4 weeks.

The selling point is the 2019 don’t have the +20 mph lockout. I sold another one for a friend who had also upgraded and also fetched decent $$$, crazy amount of money when the Bolton mod is only a bit more. I sold my ex Rad “750W” geared hub as well last month. Recycling is good!

    Radcity broke for 4 weeks.

I sold a 2019 Rad Display and controller on E-Bay last week. Surprised on how much I got for it, these things are scarce.

    Brakes/Pads - RadWagon

The hybrid Juintech Hydraulic / mechanical calipers from Bolton are actually pretty good. They use a commonly available Shimano pad. Took about 15 mins to install. I had some on my Rover, worked very well.

Just got my tracking number! EDIT: it's here. First impressions after assembly

I occasionally commute (20mile R/T) on my Juggernaut, 25 mph is a good comfortable cruising speed on the flat. With the old 44T chain-ring because my legs couldn't help I was pulling more battery power than I wanted. Previously only using gears 5-9 now with 48T 2-9 is usable. 1 is still too...

Just got my tracking number! EDIT: it's here. First impressions after assembly

I just installed a 48T chain-ring and larger guard as an experiment, this works quite well gears 8/9 are cruiser gears now. My 67 year old legs can keep up with a comfortable cadence at 26+mph . I took it on the trail to check low speed steep climbing capability in the lower gears and it's...

    Battery

The voltage display that comes with the Bolton Upgrade for the Rad is really useful. As soon as I got my Ultra I adjusted the settings to display volts. They have meters that you can put in line with the charger to the battery, I have one for each of my chargers they measure volts and amps...
