Battery, controller, display . You are probably looking at 400 quid to upgrade as long as the motor and wiring can handle the extra current. Questionable 🤨 The US version of the bike is 48V but the motor is still 250W.

On a scale of 1-10 for difficulty, Bolton is about a 2 , a mid drive conversion is more like a 9. The Bolton mod actually improves resale too, unless the conversion is well executed home built bikes are often sale-proof.

Except for safety most companies avoid recalls. Sometimes quality issues slip thru the cracks so the manufacturer will often do a good-will repair. Known issue but not really common. Back in the day Duckhams sold a round tin of chain grease. I was participating in motorcycle trials so my chain needed frequent lubing. . Put it on the stove and drop your chain in, worked great. Nice aroma 😜

I installed 3 inch street tires, quieter and faster and got slightly more battery range. Three caveats, speedometer will read high, you can scrape the pedals when leaning over and cornering and the bike leans more on the kickstand. My original stand snapped off.

How many miles? It’s not really a derailleur on a single speed bike as you aren’t shifting gears. Have you been servicing the chain, tensioner, etc. Clean and lubricate. The tensioner seems to be a problem on these bikes and the Rad mission. They should come out with an update.

Dorado is inserted from the left side of the bike. The electrical connection is on the right side. The RR 6 looks to have the electrical connection under the battery. The Espin you mentioned does look similar.
