Whoa.. is this real? An actual 3000W controller for the Bafang Ultra ?

How does the ride compare to the regular controller ? Any comparisons ? This is exciting! @pushkar cant wait to get the UC Pro with this. Are you planning to offer the UC Pro with the EX1 /chain Groupset if we wanted to ? Or are there other hub options if we want to go offroad ?

Help deciding on an ebike please

Ask @pushkar - they make good bikes and I believe there’s a soft tail version someone is riding https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/help-deciding-on-an-ebike-please.33882/ Reach out to the OP and see what they recommend ? warning - more expensive but worth the money if you intend to...

    48V vs 52V battery for Ultra 1000

Excellent stuff. I believe the Watt Wagons ‘Titan’ pack has 84cells, 30Q (https://wattwagons.com/collections/battery/products/titan) Is that the same pack as yours? More choices are obviously better.

Spring 2020 Ebike Reliability Survey Results

I prefer the way EBTL is doing it. Sorting options are a great suggestions. However choice of components matters. You can have the best motor / controller /battery but say your brakes always slip, or your frame is poorly built, or your fenders rattle all the time, or your grips break open all...

Any interest in a Bosch based Ultimate Commuter Pro ?

Great point. Yeah, looks like TQ isnt able to break into these markets, and the performance isnt as convincing anymore.

Any interest in a Bosch based Ultimate Commuter Pro ?

TQ is a great example of a potentially good product that does not innovate in time to be relevant. I would have loved TQ a year ago - but in today's market, with Bosch Gen4, Archon etc, they are being left behind. Even Sachs motors appear to have same / similar performance as TQ...

Watt Wagons Reliability - getting closer to the top (very limited responses disclaimer)

Nice. I hope to write a review when I get my Watt Wagon later in the year. This just builds confidence in the product you are building @pushkar . I am excited. What is surprising is that not a single issue with Watt Wagons was with rohloffs! ;)😂😂😂 I know I am touching a nerve here, may be many...

Direct drive + Pinion gearbox + Gates drive system = Lowest maintenance powerful E-bike

Supercommuter 7. Battery mount frame got dinged pretty bad on a wipeout, and was hard to get it fixed/ replaced. Took a few months of waiting since the bike was already phased out. Multiple issues with derailluer, and a motor replacement at 3k miles. Definitely everything covered under warranty...

Direct drive + Pinion gearbox + Gates drive system = Lowest maintenance powerful E-bike

Rad power was not smooth enough. So bought a trek. Now after 3 years, the bike doesn’t hold up to newer tech and feel. Both bikes work, but spares for Trek are harder to get due to model changes. Even thoughThe frame is there for 3-4 years, Dealer support is relatively more expensive. Motor...

Full suspension with Belt drive - why ?

Yeah. I agree. (If I’mreading this right). The chain stay is where the tensioner should be. Looks like that should address the design concerns for Gates at least.

Direct drive + Pinion gearbox + Gates drive system = Lowest maintenance powerful E-bike

You are embarking on a great journey. This is exciting. My recommendation would be to not focus on the price first. Get the product right. A lot is riding on getting something great to the market. There’s a lot of advantages using a common design. Companies can evolve but having the same...

Full suspension with Belt drive - why ?

I don’t know what the limitations are. It does look frigging awesome. I’ll be watching this thread closely to hear opinions from those who own one. I would say full suspension is already so comfortable. May be belt just gives it a more bulletproof feel?

What would you do with 4000W power?

Where did you derive "speed" from this discussion ? The speed is what the speed is... it is primarily a function of the gearing. You can ride a regular bicycle at 30MPH at the right gearing. Why is it bad form to talk about power ? People worldwide use metric, US uses imperial. Watts / HP ...

Rohloff Speed hubs on E-bikes (Mechanical and E-14) - Discussion

As long as you are not using the Bafang Ultra, all hubs are good options. Most hubs are rated up to 90 - 110 Nm of torque. Rohloff is the only one that exceeds that spec. You should be ok with most options there.

Rohloff Speed hubs on E-bikes (Mechanical and E-14) - Discussion

It would be great if you can do that. If you have already spoken with the people who make R&M frames, then the belt drive option should be available too. That will be exciting. Price it at 4k and you have a winner!
