I prefer the way EBTL is doing it. Sorting options are a great suggestions. However choice of components matters. You can have the best motor / controller /battery but say your brakes always slip, or your frame is poorly built, or your fenders rattle all the time, or your grips break open all...

Great point. Yeah, looks like TQ isnt able to break into these markets, and the performance isnt as convincing anymore.

TQ is a great example of a potentially good product that does not innovate in time to be relevant. I would have loved TQ a year ago - but in today's market, with Bosch Gen4, Archon etc, they are being left behind. Even Sachs motors appear to have same / similar performance as TQ...

Where did you derive "speed" from this discussion ? The speed is what the speed is... it is primarily a function of the gearing. You can ride a regular bicycle at 30MPH at the right gearing. Why is it bad form to talk about power ? People worldwide use metric, US uses imperial. Watts / HP ...

As long as you are not using the Bafang Ultra, all hubs are good options. Most hubs are rated up to 90 - 110 Nm of torque. Rohloff is the only one that exceeds that spec. You should be ok with most options there.

It would be great if you can do that. If you have already spoken with the people who make R&M frames, then the belt drive option should be available too. That will be exciting. Price it at 4k and you have a winner!
