A Year and A Half With My Juggernaut, Here Is What I Have Learned

Yeah that was a total rookie mistake. I read "26 miles" and thought I'd never ride anywhere near that many miles at a time, thinking of my traditional bike days. Never occurred to me that this would only give me a little over an hour of pedaling in this hilly terrain. One day I'll get a bigger...

A Year and A Half With My Juggernaut, Here Is What I Have Learned

I can honestly say this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Can't believe how much torque this bike delivers (750W motor), I can't believe the novelty has not worn off. But if I were to do it again I would make these changes. Get the hydraulic brakes. I have little bike...

Can I DIY my bike into an ebike if I have never DIY'd anything before?

You are correct, I really should have realized the kit does not come with a battery. The Giant was mine, she has a cheaper bike. In looking at the Giant it's just going to be too big for her. I was kind of hoping this would work as it would have also given me a smaller bike to use as well. I...

Can I DIY my bike into an ebike if I have never DIY'd anything before?

Thanks for the reply. A low end bike would be something like an Ancer at $650 and would be problematic I would think. As I have a Giant hybrid that I no longer use, I can buy a conversion kit for $300. It won't get a lot of use but I'd like to have one for her for the occasional ride. But it...

Can I DIY my bike into an ebike if I have never DIY'd anything before?

I found this thread and hope the OP does not mind if I ask a few questions. I have an ebike and am considering converting one of our traditional bikes for my wife who will only ride occasionally so I can't justify a new bike for her. I am considering a front wheel conversion to make life easier...

LockDown Fun - Show Us Pictures of Your Pets

I'm a dog guy, the cats are the wife's jurisdiction. One issue I have is unlike your cats ours have not been very friendly, even to her. We have one now that for some reason likes me better, he jumps in my lap and I'm glad to have him there. But I use a wireless keyboard in my recliner in the...

LockDown Fun - Show Us Pictures of Your Pets

This is Terra. Terra really liked it when I started working from home 5 years ago, she would crawl under the desk and lie at my feet. Terra really liked all the time we spent together during the shut in.

    Best Cheap Car Bike Rack?

You had my interest until I saw this under the description as I too have a 1 1/4" hitch on my car. Fits 2" hitches only; Cannot be used with 1-1/4" to 2" adapter

    Best Cheap Car Bike Rack?

Yeah I've seen it where the front wheel is removed, then the front fork is set on the outside of one of the side walls.

    Battery mockup

Not sure where to post this so I'll just throw it out here. Are all batteries interchangeable regardless of the make of the bike? I have a Biktrix and would like another battery. Can I get one online and not have to go through Biktrix?

    Best Cheap Car Bike Rack?

I had considered the type that has walls that fold up. https://www.agrisupply.com/cargo-carrier-500-lb-capacity/p/101302/?utm_source=Shopzilla&utm_medium=CSE&utm_campaign=MerchAdv&zmam=77232640&zmas=1&zmac=15&zmap=101302

    Hello from Northern Virginia

I drove past that the other day, both that looks like my kind of trail. Wish I were closer so I could ride it.

    Hello from Northern Virginia

i have a Biktrix Juggernaught and with the saddle backs it's a tank. Last week I rode a trail marked "no motorized vehicles" and nobody said a word. Ebikes are still so rare in this country hardly anyone knows about them.

Best value (not cheapest) city ebike for hills (with quality components, etc)...

I had pretty much the same requirements. Got this in April and could not be happier. It has a ton of power with the 750W mid-drive and comes with a throttle which i found very handy for loading as well as riding...

Hi from Washington DC...any other e-bikers in the area?

Man you are braver than I am to travel on those roads. I"m impressed with how far you go, my battery alone won't make that route. I've been trying all the local trails but the C&O towpath is still my favorite place to ride, that's where I went with my traditional bike. I went to Walter...

Hi from Washington DC...any other e-bikers in the area?

I grew up in Bethesda, now live in Mount Airy so semi-local. Got my first ebike in April, already ridden over 300 kilometers and didn't expect that to happen. You will love the experience.

My First Ride On My First eBike, Biktrix Juggernaut

I am finding my battery is just not giving me enough range as I ride further and further. But doesn't 2 spares throw off the balance? I'm not even sure I want to carry one additional spare for this reason.
