Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Thought this was worth a share (from OM's facebook page). I agree completely with his review! https://kk.org/cooltools/whats-in-my-bag-rayan-parikh/

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

I think the ones I've seen I liked the best had 29'er rear wheels and 20" front wheels. Interesting geometry but actually pretty comfortable and the rear wheel height offsets the visibility issue a bit. It's just a different beast. Also, I think they tend to be heavier than a folding bike and...

I strongly recommend hand controller. Simblee is no longer being supported by the developer and any problems or issues cannot be corrected. Jeff is working on a stand alone app, but that's going to take time. I've found the redundancy of systems to be a marvelous feature with OM. If you're out...

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Send a picture of your bike to Jeff now. He designed and printed a custom mount for my Bike Friday pakiT. It took a few iterations, lots of remeasuring, to get it perfect so there is some time involved. Send him a couple good pics from different sides/angles and see whether he thinks it's...

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Ah...zipforce is like a front wheel drive Rubbee. Not a big fan of all in one devices, though. Modulars are easier to repair and easier to get batteries rebuilt. I'm sure Miro will answer you, I can only say it's been easy for me since I live in the US. I shipped the stuff back to NY once to...

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Really appreciating my OM right now. It's allowing me to get out and run my errands without being on public transit or renting a car share, both of which have some added risk for seniors like me. And having my Burley Travoy to use at the grocery instead of having to use a store cart or basket...

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Great weather lately. My most recent ride up the Bay Bridge. Still getting excellent range off the battery. 17.6 miles with 34% remaining, all on PAS1, including the Bridge climb.

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Well, now that I've got the mount perfectly straight, it's a big improvement. Just a quick update to say I'm still using my OM, but it's winter and so rides are shorter and more analog for exercise right now. I do still use the OM for my twice a month Costco runs, and the rare long ride if we...

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Another lesson learned...my "eyeball" estimate of a straight mount is not nearly accurate, lol. I was wondering about the increased tire dust on my BF compared to my Dahon. Now the Dahon has the kickstand mount and it is not possible to mount this incorrectly, it's idiot proof, which makes it...

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

So Iearned something new. The OM has different modes for different regions, I knew that, but what I did not realize is that one can easily change their region to effect a change in the motor wattage. The US zone is 750w, the Ca zone (Canada?) is 500w, and the EU is 250w. So I rode today and...

    OneMotor and BikeShare

Good to know. Maybe a good substitute for my Dahon single speed coaster brake rear wheel (which is kind of a pain to repair a flat on if I can't fix it on the rim). I'll have to look into 20" solid tires.

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Finally got a couple days of somewhat dry weather so I got out and used the OM. First ride was 20 miles and the next day 15. The roads were still wet and there were puddles, of course. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the OM worked with wet slicks on my bike. I experience zero slipping...

    OneMotor and BikeShare

The bike shares out here all have those solid tires on them. How does the OM do with those, with the tread pattern?

ShareRoller - Quick and Dirty Electric Bikes

My original mounts were not perfect but jeff sent me some of the new ones to test and they are much better fit. New software made a big improvement too. I rather enjoy being a tester and having two bikes makes that easier. Hopefully you and other backers will benefit from the slow roll out.

ShareRoller - Quick and Dirty Electric Bikes

What they are doing is selling retail orders (at a much higher price than backers paid) and shipping those pretty quickly. The cost of producing this unit has far exceeded what the backers provided years ago, but Jeff has persisted with his own money. He recently purchased a 3d printer to make...

ShareRoller - Quick and Dirty Electric Bikes

I've posted my experience more but EBR somehow separated it into 2 threads. https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/review-my-onemotor-drive-formerly-shareroller.28504/ I have faith you will get your unit, but it might take a while longer. Email them again, they are super swamped with...

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Well, we've been having rain (finally) so not a lot of riding for me :-(. Have a big Costco run to do next week so hoping for a fairly dry day; my OM and Burley Travoy will come out to play.

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Just an update - my OM has been to the mothership and had the newest software installed. Performance is even better now. Today was the truest test for me of this system. I put the motor and battery in my sling bag and rode to Costco on my single speed Dahon with my Burley Travoy trailer. I...

Review: My OneMotor drive (formerly Shareroller)

Brief ride yesterday with the Bike Friday. 7 miles. The new mount makes the motor engagement super solid, zero bouncing or chattering off the wheel. It also makes the wheel turn faster, so I've had to shift up one more gear to prevent spinning out. Good thing the new software engages the motor...
