    Specialized touch up paint?

Do any of you use touch up paint? I've had good luck with my other bikes since they are all high gloss and common colors used in nail polish. The "Carbon" color for my 2020 Vado 4.0 is matte and tough to find. I thought that someone had to make a touchup paint for it but I can't find any...

If you ordered from the 8/20/2020 batch, you might have been given a lowered ah battery.

Email them. See if they can send you the 500w battery. They might not be able to get them to be honest.

Known Issues & Problems with Specialized Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

To be honest, most mid-level hub ebikes (think Radpower, Ride1up, and Aventon) are probably a much better choice. If it was a mid-drive I might swing my opinion a little but the 2016 turbo is an old rear hub motor. Unless you are getting a REALLY good price on the turbo, I'd look at other options.

    Prince Harry on a Rad

I don't think he needs one to be honest. I travel to the UK and my US driver's license is valid there.

    BMX'd my Lectric XP

That's not who made the frame. They just branded one of the many frames that the shops in Shenzhen can make.

    BMX'd my Lectric XP

I love the Tri-Cities area. Its growing quite a bit and offers a LOT more than Yakima does in every aspect. The river is amazing too. I'm kind of stuck here because of work, but if we ever opened an office there I wouldn't hesitate to move. Besides it being really dry and brown everywhere, it's...

Lectric XP PAS 1 through 3 no difference

Somethings wrong for sure. My PAS1 is basically worthless its so slow. Even for a new rider who isn't used to ebikes. Im talking like 1-2mph assistance.

    Lectric XP spoke issue

When did you get your bike? I know this was a big issue with the early versions. Like the first generation reviewer samples and the first ones that shipped out.

    BMX'd my Lectric XP

Its kind of a joke to be honest. That sign was put up on private property and doesn't really have anything to do with the city. Yakima is very much nothing like Palm Springs. If anything its kind of a hilly Oakland. Heres an article that kind of explains it...

    BMX'd my Lectric XP

You aren't wrong. In bulk with how much Lectric buys at a time, it would probably be $1500 range. But I think Lectric has paper thin margins and relies on quantity to make money.

    BMX'd my Lectric XP

I'd love to see a premium version. 11-32 cassette in the back. Front suspension fork. Finding one thats branded would be nice (but hard as nobody really makes 20x4 spaced forks). Hydraulic brakes. Larger capacity battery. All of these things can be added from the same factory they assemble in...

    BMX'd my Lectric XP

Its a non branded frame made in China. They have catalogs of parts companies like Lectric can put together for assembly and branding.

I heard that each of the 3 levels has an increase regardless of what you have it set at in the app, but I believe I can have mine all the way down to 0 for all of them if I want.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Newest member checking in. I have a 2020 Vado 4.0 I just bought last week. It's replacing my Lectric XP as my daily commuter. I ride at least 13 miles a day (6.5 to and from work) and hope to increase that a little more to grocery duty and some more joy rides. I am primarily a mountain biker who...

Paralyzed by indecision - Need to choose a budget 750w (or so) Hub bike.

I can vouch for Radpower. They make great bikes and you'd have no issues going up some big hill on them, even at your weight. I live in Washington state so I see them everywhere. I've never met a person who didn't gush about how much they love theirs. Even riders that are much larger (mid 300's)...

    Need help choosing.

One last update, I was able to call Specialized customer support, they confirmed with my serial number that its a class 3 and then checked the installed software. They said that it just had the wrong software update on it. I ran it over to my local bike shop and they fixed me right up in about 5...

Brand new Vado 4.0 motor stops support at 20mph.

No, not at all. Just unexpected. Just another update, I ran it over to my local shop and explained. They checked the bike and saw that it indeed had the wrong update on it. They corrected it and the bike rides exactly how I'd expect it to. Thanks everyone for the help :)

Brand new Vado 4.0 motor stops support at 20mph.

I just remembered that Specialized has a customer service line (and a REALLY GOOD one at that). I called them and got someone on the line like 20 seconds later. They checked the serial number and the software installed, they confirmed that it has the incorrect firmware install and that my local...
