Rad Rover handle bar end mirror suggestions/reccomendation

Hafny makes MANY different styles of bicycle mirrors with distinctly different mounting arrangements and no one has mentioned which specific one(s) they use. The OP asked for comments on "Bar End" mirrors, and those are the ones that can be problematic on at least some Rad Rovers (as opposed to...

Why are Rad Brake Levers Asymmetric(al)

I finally got around to installing Jones H-Loop Bars on my RadMini. I've been having problems with pain in one elbow, and similar past experiences with the flat stubby bars on other folders taught me to replace them with something with sweep. I've had the bars for a couple of months, and...

Rear brake making squeaking sound on a brand new RadRover 5

Very common, and the front will probably start squeaking too, soon. Be careful not to get grease/oil on the disks and don't touch them with you bare hands either. Try degreasing the disks with a paper towel liberally soaked with isopropyl alcohol, then let them dry thououghly and go over...

    Radrunner/Radrunner plus Hill climb

Chain tensioners are common on the slack side of the chains of single speed and internally geared hub bikes with vertical dropouts. Rad may have been reluctant to use the more common single speed chain adjustment scheme of horizontal dropouts due to the reaction torque of the rear hub motor, as...

    windshield !

Zipper makes some of the best bike fairings/windshields (and they've been around quite a while): http://www.zzipper.com/ For Upright Bikes I've run them on recumbents and tandems and they take some getting used to (can be very squirrelly in crosswinds.) Most of theirs have handlebar mounts...

Rad City Chainring advice to increase top speed! Help Please!

It appears Geno has had a good grasp on the situation from the beginning and has been pursuing a reasonable solution in terms of his personal preferences if he can find a chainring with the correct BCD for the City with a couple of extra teeth. He may or may not need a new (longer) chain, and...

Rad City Chainring advice to increase top speed! Help Please!

I think you've got this completely backwards. If you want to avoid spinning out/add pedal resistance in 6th or 7th gear, you need a front chainring with more teeth, not less.

    Radrunner gear shift

Does the new motor with the freewheel attached fit between the rear dropouts on your Runner, in other words, does it have the same Over-Locknut-Distance (OLD)? It looks to me like the Runner chain tensioner does not use a conventional derailleur mount, so adding one would be problematic.

Rad City Chainring advice to increase top speed! Help Please!

There are 10 tooth rear cogs out there but they are very rare and I've never seen one that fit a standard freewheel or cassette. The smallest cogs on conventional freewheels/cassettes are 11 tooth. Shimano used to make a 9 to 26 tooth cassette in the Capreo group, but it didn't fit conventional...

Rad City Chainring advice to increase top speed! Help Please!

    Some standard 5 bolt chainring sizes and their corresponding bolt hole center-to-center distances are: 110 mm = 64.7mm = 2.55" 130mm = 76.4mm = 3.01" 135mm = 79.5mm = 3.13" 144mm = 84.6mm = 3.33"

    RadRover Bafang Motor Issues...

If an e-bike is applying power to the motor based on a single errant sensor count, then something is broken or some component manufacturers logic implementation is terrible. On a Rad, with the bike turned on in any PAS Mode, you can spin the pedals backwards until you're blue in the face and...

Rad Rover 5 good for going up hills?

I've lived in San Francisco and feel your pain, but these are potentially great times for cyclists there, if they chose the right E-bike. ExPatBrits summary of various mod options nails it, but I'll offer a different perspective on hills with stock Rad offerings. It was not uncommon during my...

    Rad City tire pressure

From Slimes own FAQ ( http://www.slime.com/us/faq-details.php?id=17: ) "What happens to Slime’s sealants after 2 years? Slime sealant is a liquid that may dry out over long periods of time. For maximum puncture protection and optimal performance, we recommended that Slime...

    Rad City tire pressure

Just be aware that Slime brand sealant (and any other latex based one) dries out over time and loses effectiveness. Replacement recommendations range from one to two years depending on conditions. With tubes, this means throwing them away every 1-2 years and replacing, then re-Sliming them (as...

Just wanted to share my 2020 RAD Mini 35amp Controller and Color LCD Install

@RobbyThEMonK What kind of battery management system are you using to handle cell balance issues in your hand crafted pack? Is there something out there off the shelf that will handle 126 cells or did you have to build one from modules or discrete components?
