Note that there are two arrows on the plug that point to each other. that's the way to align it up when plugging back in. I have a slick way of popping the wheel out of the stays that doesn't use a mallet. I'm going to be doing this same job tonight so I will post pictures tomorrow. But if...

Yes, even a little less. I cut something like 13 inches, then split that in half longwise. Then trimmed one edge a little so as not to cover the pin stripe thing. Then cut another 10 inches or so and split off 1 inch strips for the fork logos. I still have enough that i might put some down the...

No worries, it's still only one answer... No. It seems just like vinyl tape, it'll peel right back off of you put it on wrong. But after a year or two....? That's what plastic scrapers are for.

The little shaft that connects the pedal to the crank arm has two flats that fit the 15mm wrench provided. the thing to note is that the right side pedal is right hand threaded, and the left pedal is left hand threaded. that mean you turn the right one clockwise to tighten and the left one...

No, that's called a torque sensor and they only come on high end ebikes usually with mid drives. Ours is a cadence sensor. Magnets around the crank with a sensor. Just like a cycle computer uses but with more magnets. You can see it right here: Smarter people than me can chime in if you know...

Okay, you got me thinking, so I went out and did some experiments. On PAS 1, I pedaled without actually helping the bike and it topped out around 8.8 mph @1amp. when I started pedaling to help the bike the speed went up but the current stayed the same until I reached 14 miles an hour where it...

No brake, each PAS level limits the motor to a specified Mph. I dont know if its a current limit or Mph. It tries to maintain that limit. But if it goes over, it just cuts out and it's all you. in practice, when you help the motor, I think it maybe uses less current and will go a little faster...

Awesome report. As someone who changed the freewheel, you'll want one of these too: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001B6RGXG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I dont think a standard chainring tool will be deep enough.

I'm not convinced that you can remove the current headset cups to install the threadless headset. At best they're painted on. They can't be aluminum, but they seem to be included in the frame welds.

I haven't changed out the standard one yet. But I'll probably look at it at some point. I figger there are two types of lights. The one you turn on so everyone can see you, and the one you turn on to actually see where you're going in the dark (like a commuter). I just need the first kind so I'm...

Yes it is. With the stem off, you can look down the hole and see straight through to the fender screw. But it came that way because I've never been out in wet conditions. it looks worse in the picture for some reason. did you notice I covered the "LECTRIC" on the side with reflective tape?

Well here you go: I was kinda disappointed to see that it was an old-school threaded steerer tube on the fork with a jam nut on the stem. Just like a kids department store bike. I don't remember seeing any threaded suspension forks when I was searching. if they do have them, they're going to...

What geometry will be way out of wack? I know the difference between a folding bike and a regular one and I know how forks attach to stems on folding bikes. If everyone is making 20" fat tire forks the same size, it follows that our bike might use that size too. you just need to open it up and...

Funny you should mention that. I just started halfheartedly looking at that today. I'd have to take the headset apart to check on some sizes, but it looks like all the ones i see for sale come in the same size. 28.6mm tubing, 135mm spread between the dropouts. It looks like the brake mounting...
