Fat man bike; long time rider, but not ebikes

Find a normal bike that fits you well , possibly a steel frame like a surly. Get an BBSHD mid-drive installed a 52v 21ah battery and you can climb any hill you come to with just the throttle only. Guaranteed. But if the bicycle you have now is strong enough for your body type. Installing a...

Sometimes when I hit these back roads , there isn't a car for miles. So peaceful.

    250W and hills?

Sell your bike on Craigslist and get a mid-drive. If you live in hills all around you. There is no better alternative IMO. The gentlemen whom showed you the mid-drive bike was 100% correct. A rear hub motor does not benefit from gear changes , only "your legs" do.

The Biltmore Estate consists of 8,000 acres of land around it. I worked there for 8 yrs. You could get lost in the 20 miles of various bike trails around the estate. You're actually seeing two lakes. The lake with the bridge is behind the house hidden by 22 miles of the various greenery and...

Fat man bike; long time rider, but not ebikes

That bike gives me all the right feels. I'd say a great choice. Keep an eye on Craigslist too , you might find a good fat tire for on the cheap.

We need to stop blaming victims in bike theft!

I will say I had a moped in Hawaii in the 90s and had a huge cable lock on it , always parked it outside my workplace to the metal grates out there for bicycles. We had a couple other mopeds that other workers had there , none of them were locked up. I came outside after work to go home and the...

I missed the boat , FLX had that BLADE 2.0 for $4600 recently , he was running an ATCOST coupon code. I really wanted one , but funds are a little tight.

Hello, and I think I may need to move on?

Also no offense I don't know who you are tomjasz or the stance you take or the stance you take on this matter. I've only just previously seen you make statements which don't correlate to reality. It's possibly another derailed thread , telling this Mother that her bike does indeed go up hills...

Hello, and I think I may need to move on?

So many negative boomers in this forum. You are right to call him out on his negative pessimism. It's weird most of the newly pro-mid-drive guys in this thread previously totally slammed me in another thread on this forum about mid-drives and how hub drives are better. Here we have a real...

Can it be done? Bottom bracket question for bafang mid-drives

I'm concerned with the bottom bracket of this bike. It has a uniquie design where the lower part of the frame is actually wire. Could a bafang be installed on this bicycle? The bottom bracket concerns me. The bafang would sit lower than normal? Or could it fit above the wire? Thanks for your...

BBS02B - my look at driver settings

Yeah 52T is overkill for most bbs02 bikes with wheels above 20inches. Even then you have to be careful to not use the smaller cogs on steep inclines. Do you sell fully built mid-drive bikes?

Are mid drives just naturally less zippy than hub motors?

I spoke with the gentlemen from CHRISTINI bike he had this to say regarding his AWD bike design. "I briefly looked at the thread. Have him read up on how AWD works. All the torque is applied to the rear wheel until the instant the rear wheel slips and then that torque is shared to the front...

BBS02B - my look at driver settings

I wonder if a modded throttle like a wah-wah pedal , basically a rotary switch would alleviate at least on the throttle side the 0-1000 throttle response of most bafang throttles? Where you just sneeze on it and it's 0-1000 right away. Certainly could be a semester challenge for engineering...
