    GoCycle GX FS - $2500 w/extras

Selling my GoCycle GX and a few accessories. I don't ride it enough to justify keeping such a nice bike. It has about 700 miles on it. Also included are the fenders, the integrated lighting kit, and the front pannier. When I bought the bike, this all cost well over $4000. I purchased it from...

For Sale: 2018 Riese & Müller Nevo GH Vario - $3900

This thread is almost a year old - I'm guessing the OP likely already sold the bike by now! :)

    Gocycle in hilly Nashville

Even the type 2 firmware requires you to be moving before applying throttle. That said, it's not realistic to expect the tiny GoCycle hub drive to get you started on a hill without any pedal assist -- put the bike in 1st gear and pedal a bit. If you aren't able to move the bike by pedaling it up...

    Recommendation for e-bike carrier

If you have a hitch mount on your Ascent, this Thule platform mount works really well: https://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Thule/TH903202.html We have one of these on our Outback and carry two ebikes regularly on it. Easy peasy. There’s a review of it on this site that was the reason I...

    GoCycle shipping

Not just that -- if it needs a repair at any point, if you're in the US it might need to be shipped to Minnesota, and during that process it may obtain further damage. My local shop shipped it to MN for a repair on a wire for the rear light mount and it came back with a busted phone mount...

Does it have two batteries? Is it the 20 or 28mph model?

Thule trunk bike rack + e-bike = okay?

I bought it in Brooklyn at Propel (great shop!). There are a few smaller ebikes that are lighter, like the GoCycle line of bikes, but I don't know of any full sized bikes in the class that's as light as the Gazelle.

Thule trunk bike rack + e-bike = okay?

Hopefully final update. We did take the ebike on that Thule rack probably around a dozen times, including on multiple several-hour car drives, but in the end the hassle of renting a car got the better of us and we bought a car (after attempting to do without over for the past year or so). We had...

6.5 weeks to fix my GS

Sorry to hear. I've had a terrible experience with the Minnesota repair center as well. The wiring was bad in my GX, and when I got the bike back it had been packaged so poorly that it was damaged in shipping on the way back. Shipped it back to them, they "fixed" it, and I recently received it...

Anybody tried out the GX yet?

Incidentally, have you had any issues with your shifters? Mine have started acting weird -- sometimes the actual gear I'm in doesn't match what the shifter window indicates. E.g. sometimes it'll say is between 2nd and 3rd, but is in fact solidly in one of the gears. And so on.

Anybody tried out the GX yet?

Wow, that's great news. Should extend the range a good bit. It's what, an additional 100kw?

Anybody tried out the GX yet?

I believe it's a physically identical bike, just different firmware. You should be able to update the firmware by uninstalling and reinstalling the app on your phone and going thru the setup again. Then select the NA firmware. I once accidentally selected the EU firmware and was frustrated by...

Anybody tried out the GX yet?

Thanks for your note! That's great info, thanks. Turns out I bought one as well, and have been riding it quite a bit in NYC (where I live) and surrounding regions in the Northeast of the US (Boston, DC, various places in Pennsylvania, etc.). I've got somewhere around 500 miles on it so far. I...

Need a folding e-bike for commuting from home through ferry into NYC

Go with the Gocycle GX. It’s an amazing bike. I have one and really enjoy it on my 20 mi round trip commute (all in Manhattan). A few caveats, though: 1) depending on your level of assistance and how many hills you’ll climb, you might not get 30 miles. If you go really easy in Eco mode you might...

Carrying photography gear on a ride

You might consider the Peak Design Capture Clip. That would solve the shoulder strap problem for you, but you’d need something on your body to clip it to like a backpack strap or something like that. I used to shoot with the first version of your camera, and in fact took it with me on my...
