    Priority Bikes at Costco

I did range testing, as well as another member, and this is our finding on level ground with some underpasses Level 2 : 40-45 miles Level 3 : 30 miles + Level 4 : 20 miles Level 5 : 15 miles Another member replicated this and got similar results. If you have hills and a long commute, you can...

Cannot allow my hobby to burn down my home

There is a reason UL certification exists. You use a laptop right? If that battery is not UL certified, even that can catch fire. So whenever you buy an ebike, make sure your battery is UL certified

    Priority Bikes at Costco

I ordered through costco and mistakenly thought 2599$ was getting me a CVT hub. I was a tad dissapointed initially, but not any more. I actually like the hub now, better than a short test drive I did on the CVT. Its truly a speed demon.

Trying to find a first Ebike. Help a newbie out.

Do you have a need for a 40mph ebike and can do with a lower powered lightweight commuter. I would recommend priority current. The Belt drive with Shimano hub is 2599$ at Costco next. And arrives within 10 days of ordering and is easy to assemble The Pros are 1. 28mph top speed. With pedal...

Priority Current Shimano 5 speed - First impressions

Okay now I have done more than 200 miles on the bike and also did a range test at level "3". I decided to stick to level "3" and run the battery down to blinking. 29.6 miles, with about 9 miles with lights on. From 1 bar to blinking it tool more than 6 miles. Looks like there is indeed some...

Priority Current Shimano 5 speed - First impressions

Okay, now I have raked over 100 miles. First the range. At level 2 I can get atleast 40 miles on flag ground even when windy. Kind of matches what Tim says here https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/priority-current-delivery-assembly-initial-feedback.48547/post-529486 Full assist riding...

Priority Current Shimano 5 speed - First impressions

Its a 6$ Accor bell from amazon. My mittor is the clamp on handlebar type not end type. So I just had to move the controller about an inch to the right

Priority Current Shimano 5 speed - First impressions

Thanks! Will be trying this when I get time. For not its my 10 miles to work which drops my bars to 5 and then charge to full at work. I changed wheel diameter to 26" and now the display miles accurately match with my watch. Infact its about 1% on the lower side instead of 5%+ optimistic...

Priority Current Shimano 5 speed - First impressions

Good idea. I am thinking of doing the exteme other end test. Ride at assist 5 maintaining around 20mph and see how many miles I can squeeze out till 1 bar is left!

Priority Current Shimano 5 speed - First impressions

Okay, doing some more rides, and testing out the range at full pedal assist. Its been very windy in the bay area nowadays with evening 10mph winds with maybe 12mph gusts. In such conditions at pedal assist mode 5 and mixed urban trail circuit, the bike gets about 17-20 miles of range. I think...

Priority Current Shimano 5 speed - First impressions

No idea. I plan to ride it without much cargo, just maybe 10-15 lbs max. I am 220lbs.

Priority Current Shimano 5 speed - First impressions

So I finally bought the current from costco. I was expecting the enviolo, but it turns out Costco version is Shimano. That's what you get from not paying attention :D Anyways, its 800$ less than what the Enviolo costs, and is indeed a very good bike. I have done about 20 miles on it now...

    Who's got a Current?

Thank you. so the bottom lower numbers are "low gear"? I also read the comment from priority that they feel its easier to go faster on shimano. I wonder why its that since enviolo has a higher top gear ratio

    Who's got a Current?

Just got my current from Costco for 2599$. Its a shimano 5 speed. I was under the impression it was enviolo. But I am okay, I am guessing lower gears will be lower on envilo, while highest gear on shimanu will get me similar cadence? I could not find specs anywhere, i..e the cadence at higher...

    3500-4500$ Ebike, help me choose

Well what I meant is that the next few months will tell me about warranty or issues if any. I am hoping to ride this bike as my commuter setup for years to come. Its flat trails, with 2-3 mile long uninterrupted streches where I can speed pedal to go as fast as possible. Will be posting a...

    3500-4500$ Ebike, help me choose

Yes, I did :). But its 1700$ more than Priority current. If it was a specialized mastermind system at 4000$ pricepoint it would be better. But at 4300$+ tax this seems too less of an bike when I compare to 2500$ of a priority current. Which I ordered. Next few months will tell me if I was...
