Well now, isn't that a house full of beautiful critters!

Vado 5.0 - lights always on

Bummer. Your model may be one where Specialized wants the lights on at all times. Or, hopefully, one with more knowledge than me on the model will be of some help! Good luck.

    Did you 'coutomize' them???;)

Vado 5.0 - lights always on

I don't know whether you have the same control switch on a 5.0 (mine is a 4.0), or what year your bike is (IIRC Specialized had the lights on at all times on older models). But if your control switch is turned on the bars the right way, you won't see the headlamp button on the lower side of it...

SONDORS is releasing it's first mid-drive EBikes.

That is one thing which is preventing me from putting down a $299 deposit on the Rockstar. Even Micah's article refers to the fact that we really don't know the spec of these new bikes. One pic on the Sondors web site shows the model with some higher end components, which I fear are not on the...

    500 Assembly...two issues, and a battery question

    1) Yes, the hex bolt on the top of the headtube is used to tighten the headset. But you must loosen the two bolts which hold the stem to the headtube first! Then get the headset as tight as you need to (don't overtighten but remove play), then re-tighten the stem bolts. 2) There are ways to...

New RadMission from Rad Power Bikes

I agree. While not having researched bikes in this price-point a lot, this new Rad looks like attempted competition for bikes like the R1U Core-5 (which is $50 more expensive if you take the R1U pledge, but also has 7 speeds). I personally like what I see in the Core-5 better, and I think that...

LockDown Fun - Show Us Pictures of Your Pets

Boy, it is just something about how our animals love to 'help' us while we are working at our desk! When Bodie joined our family, at my feet under my desk was his very favorite spot. And both of the kittens love to be on my lap while working on the computer. Chocolate, being a bit of a spaz...

Oh well @RangerDave, Looks like Rad went in the other direction! Maybe a Fall release for your dream bike! ;)

    Hello all

Hi Joe, and welcome. Juiced RipCurrent S? Quite a nice first e-bike and looks very capably outfitted for your needs. We had one of those, but it never got much into the riding rotation of our e-bikes. I just wasn't riding any place where it could 'shine' in its capabilities. But it was...

Is white/blue colored NCM Moscow for girls?

What others think is generally of dubious merit. What you think is the only important thing, and you are thinking more deeply (about safety). I think that the bike looks fine in the blue/white color scheme. Heck, both my wife and I ride bikes which are white, black and (of all things) teal...

Welcome! Very nice e-bike to start with - sounds like you have done your research. Many happy miles to you.

    Toe clips for my Vado?

I agree with the others about clipless, but that is not your question. I have used pedal straps in the past and found that they allowed more power to be applied (worked on upstroke) without the bulk of a cage/strap combo. The ones I used are Power Grips...

    I need more Advise, Please......

Which bars did you get on your ordered 700? The one we got had the swept back bars and it ended up that my wife hated them (for hand position - she has one wrist which was badly broken in the past and has only partial movement). I ordered a new, straight handlebar from Amazon for less than...

    Hello from Van Island

Hello and welcome. Yes, I think that swinging the leg over the top tube will get easier - Muscle memory is a great thing which helps us all even as we age and get less flexible! And like many, you will likely appreciate the more solid ride that a full diamond frame provides. I've always...

No customer service response from biktrix about delays and shipping method

That's nice. @roshan has a high level of credibility on this forum he has earned over a long period of time. I would happily purchase from Biktrix tomorrow.

No customer service response from biktrix about delays and shipping method

@Spatzi, I think that regardless of what anyone has posted on this thread, we all wish you the best in ultimately getting the e-bike of your dreams, in the quickest possible time frame. Unfortunately with the resurgence of COVID cases, we haven't even reached the "post-pandemic 'new normal'"...

Thoughts on Ride1Up and Similar eBikes

No experience with multiple R1U bikes to truly answer your question, but based on our ownership of a 700 I would not hesitate recommending the brand. These guys are fairly new to the e-bike business but it seems to me that they are doing good things with what they are bringing to the market...

No customer service response from biktrix about delays and shipping method

And... that isn't apparently a correct analogy either. More like the restaurant said the burger would be ready in 20 minutes to an hour, the customer agreed, and then became upset when it didn't come in 20 minutes. We haven't even reached the "one hour" point in the contract yet ("mid-June +/-...

No customer service response from biktrix about delays and shipping method

And remember folks, we may be talking about the post-COVID 'new normal' here, at least for a little while but maybe longer term as well. And not just for Biktrix, but for many, many companies. 1) If a company used to have, say, 8 people working in a Sales and Customer Service area, what is...
