    Roam E+ Chain Popped Off

Right. Explore E+ isn't much of upgrade from Roam E+. You will need to go all the way up to Explore Pro to get derailleur upgrade. Chain coming off is one thing but once it's off, it's ugly. The chain usually get wedge between the sprocket and the motor cover, requiring some force to free it...

    Roam E+ Chain Popped Off

Yes, I'm the one who had that experience. I suspect this is due to the bad derailleur. Here's my review I posted on Giant Canada website with the photos - https://www.giant-bicycles.com/ca/roam-eplus-gts As you have noted, it only happens on tall gears, probably at speed 9. Avoid this speed...

Road Tires for EXPLORE E+ 1 GTS?

Your new tires look great! I'd like to try these myself. These are 700x40 but the stock is 700x45. Do you see any difference in overall look (due to the narrow tire) and faster cut off in PAS (is the circumference the same or smaller)?

Road Tires for EXPLORE E+ 1 GTS?

How many flats? I've had my 2021 Roam E+ for a little over a month, I lost the count - 6 flats? I'm on my third tube now, the punctures occurred on the rear only, all 6 times. The tire provides decent grip on most type of surfaces but it's definitely not puncture resistant! I'm ready to try...

    Range on ToughRoad

I'll throw away any "range" estimate the bike provides. It just doesn't know what's coming so the estimate would be highly inaccurate anyway. However, % of battery capacity remaining is something I could make use of and the bike can provide reasonably accurate number for this. On my Roam E+ with...

800 mile update on schwalbe marathon e plus for giant explore 3

Initially I had crappy tire levers from Amazon and they did not help much. Got Liv brand levers from Giant store and they work very well. I was hoping that I don't have to use them though, just got my 4th flat the other day. Also, learned from this and tried to put the tires on without levers...

    Syncdrive Tiers?

I also have Roam E+, 2021 Explore E+ 2 comes with SyncDrive sport with 70nm so it's an upgrade. I believe you get the same shifter (Alivio) as Roam E+ but different brakes. I like my Roam E+ for what it is from performance perspective. My gripes on Roam E+ are the tires and derailluer, and they...

800 mile update on schwalbe marathon e plus for giant explore 3

I had to take the tire off multiple times on my Roam E+ which has the same tire/rims as Explorer E+. Without proper tools (tire levers made of strong plastic or metal) they are very difficult to take off or put on. Also, making sure it's seating properly takes some effort as well.

    2021 Roam E+ GTS

It was very nice day last Sunday. Tried another long trip to the east of city, covering mostly trails along the way. The wind was heavy from NW, so the trip was challenging coming back but still made it back safely. Battery consumption was 89% for this trip. Again, the assist was on mostly for...

    2021 Roam E+ GTS

Roam E+ is called an adventure bike. I'm having my own adventure of the new bike ownership, however something that I'd very much like to avoid. 2 weeks into the ownership, I get flats twice! For all my life of owning bicycles, I had gotten a flat just once.. Here's the cause of the latest flat...

    2021 Roam E+ GTS

By the way, Vado 4.0 looks very nice but also at much higher price vs Roam E+. Being class 3 is also nice since you can get assistance at higher speed but at the expense of the battery life. I am very happy with the battery life and motor power on my Roam E+.

    2021 Roam E+ GTS

ROAM E+ has Syncdrive Core, bottom of the line up with 50nm torque. It's relatively low but I cannot compare against other models or makes. It's more than plenty for me though which is what matters. It provides me more than sufficient assistance when I need. My bigger complaint would be the max...

    2021 Roam E+ GTS

Since the Covid lockdown hit my area (greater Toronto), I've been working from home most of the time much like everyone else around the world. On rare occasions I had to go to the office which is around 9Kms away, I decided to use my old no-name bicycle. I enjoyed it very much and decided that...

2021 Roam E+ - help with chain drop issue

Correct, mine does not have the clutch. Too many links possible, I did not count but everything is stock so I assumed they put the correct one for this design. Is there a way to adjust the derailleur tension? If the chain length is reduced by removing few links, what would be the downside? I...

2021 Roam E+ - help with chain drop issue

Hi All, Glad to find this forum. I'm a proud owner of 2021 Roam E+ GTS. I plan to share my experiences with the bike on various trips I made /w various assistance level in the future. However, I need some help first. My bike likes to drop the chain! This is a terrible issue to have while riding...

Giant Explore E+ 2 Electric Bicycle 2018 Chain dropping

Recently purchased 2021 Roam E+ which is very close to Explorer E+. I saw this thread prior to purchase but wasn't too concerned. Now this happened to me twice, within a week and half into the ownership. Both times I had to yank out the stuck chain with brute force which made a big mess on my...
