Pulled the trigger on a Scorpion today

I've ridden the Scorpion 32 miles since the last full charge. Still have 3 bars left on the LCD, or resting voltage of 47.2 (~30% charge.) I think I could get another 4.5--5.0 miles before hitting 20% charge. It's not quite as zippy as full charge, of course, but still satisfactory. I pedal 90%...

Pulled the trigger on a Scorpion today

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. This bike is very nimble. Great turning radius. I'm looking forward to hearing other riders' comments. @TMH when your wife's HyperScorpion arrives, I'm sure you will give us your impressions.

Pulled the trigger on a Scorpion today

Getting a lot of miles in, and making the adjustment from the CCS to the Scorpion. I realized today that for all of my life I've pedaled with the ball of my foot. On the Scorpion, if I use the arch/instep area, I get better knee extension and feel less bunched-up. Since it's a pedal-forward...

Any numbers on extended battery life with not full charging?

If I understand all this correctly, it's not necessary to balance the cells every time you charge. You could do the 20-80 thing most of the time, and a full charge once a month to get things balanced, and be alright. So much of the problem with charging to 100% is leaving the battery in a...

    Communication helmets?

My wife and I use ham radio handy-talkies. Works great. You could use some inexpensive FRS radios just as well; we just happen to have ham radio licenses so that's what we use. Way less expensive than the purpose-made bike helmet devices.

    Scott Adams on ebikes

As far as Scott Adams goes, I'd have to say he's neither on the right nor the left. He's standard-issue wacky, not even Wow-would-you-look-at-that wacky, with a little political-hobbyist sauce on top. Your well-read and thoughtful cousin knows more about politics than Adams does, because he is...

CrossCurrent S2 on order.....issues to look for?

I've had a CCS for 2.5 years and something over 4.000 miles. The thing about this forum is, people talk about problems and look for solutions. As they should. But you get a lot more info about the problems that way. The thousands of satisfied customers don't write just to say everything's fine...

Pulled the trigger on a Scorpion today

I want to add this. Two and a half years ago, when so many of us were getting our CCS's, we had such a community of exploration, trying various mods, pushing the limits of our bikes to find out what they'd do, sharing experiences with each other. I'm glad to be have been part of that. Asher...

Pulled the trigger on a Scorpion today

Arrived today. Bonnie and I went for a 10 mile ride. As we thought, pedaling will be an adjustment. The geometry is different from the CCS. Not at all bad, though. I like the upright posture, and being able to put my feet down easily. I had to tippy-toe at stoplights on the CCS. I like it. It's...

    Non Juiced brand battery purchase

Wow! Assuming that their quality control is up to par, that's a good deal.

Pulled the trigger on a Scorpion today

Got an email from Juiced today. My Scorpion has shipped. FedEx says it arrives on Tuesday the 30th. These next few days are going to be soooo sloooow.

    RC mirror

New grips is the only way I've heard of. I decided to use a helmet-mounted mirror, and haven't looked back. Ha ha.

    Help with purchase...:)

The CCX/S has both a torque sensor and a cadence sensor. It makes for a very smooth operation.

    Motor Power Output Question

Power to the motor from the controller can be restricted by firmware. Effectively, you now have less horsepower. I'm with A Hicks. The whole thing is silly. My last BMW R1200RT would easily do 125 mph, which is not legal anywhere, but as long as I stuck to the speed limits, no one ever blinked...

    Help with purchase...:)

Comparing photos, it looks like the Como has a more upright position than the CCS/CCX. If you put a riser stem on the CCS/X, as I did, it would be pretty much the same.

    Charging cycles - battery life

That article expresses my understanding of the process pretty well. Example: If I run the battery from 80% to 30%, and then charge it back to 80%, I've used one-half cycle. The total is 50%. Do that twice, and you've used one full charge cycle -- it adds up to 100%. Those claims on how many...

    Best options?

Not even paying attention to what people are trying to share with you. Trying to be right. Putting words in people's mouths, and then "proving them wrong." I think you're on the wrong forum. There's probably people who like bikes on Twitter that you could argue with.
