    Bent rear tire (maybe rim?)

Come to think of it, it did have a tire mounted as well. I wanted my like-new Marathon Plus transferred over so I really didn't pay attention to that.

    Size Question

I had the CCS, which has the same size frames. I have a 32 inseam and ordered the L. It worked okay but I'd have rather had more room, and would order the M if I bought another. YMMV.

    Bent rear tire (maybe rim?)

I was just about to say, "John Peck did." Then I saw you had replied. To the OP: it might be easier to get the rear wheel assembly from Juiced. They just got a shipment in so they may still be in stock, unless they were all pre-sold (like mine, I ordered in May and got it in early August.) It's...

    Poor Mans Satiator

"Alexa, recharge Scorpion." Less than two seconds. It runs a routine I've already set up to turn the smart outlet on for a specified period of time. Even if I use the app instead of Alexa, because maybe I don't want it to start right now, it only takes 8 seconds. I just timed it. For some...

    Accelator lever

Wow, that's an easy test to run. Wouldn't have thought of it, but it's so obvious once you do!

Tora Finally Commits to Customer Service

Agreed. I'm hoping this works out well, but not yet optimistic.

    Poor Mans Satiator

Not so. I've used the kind you're talking about -- said so, even -- and this is more flexible and faster. If you are using Alexa and it's that slow for you, I'd wonder about your internet connection. Good modems are available inexpensively, and my internet provider recently upgraded us to...

    Poor Mans Satiator

Of course it can. It's UL certified and rated at 12 amps.

    Poor Mans Satiator

I use a TP-Link smart outlet. You can start it and set a timer, or schedule it to run at certain times for a stated length of time. I can tell Alexa to turn it on or off if desired. Works better for me than the old style programmable timer I used to use.

Tora Finally Commits to Customer Service

I've never felt that JB's QC and customer service is as bad as some make it out to be. People love to complain. JB has sold many thousands of bikes. They couldn't have all been that bad. I've had very little trouble with mine until the clutch went out and service was good when that happened...

    Sold the old CCS today

Well, a very pleasant young man came and bought the old CCS today. I offered it at a reasonable amount and, after looking at the bike and taking it for a test ride, he paid the asking price. He had researched ebikes a lot and felt like he was getting a bargain. Which it was, especially when you...

    Key Replacement CCX

The key they supplied a couple of years ago could be cut from an existing blank that most locksmiths would have. Why their supplier felt that they had to switch to a different style of key escapes me. These new keys don't look like they'll be that easy to copy. I'd probably try one more...

Tora Finally Commits to Customer Service

In Tora's latest blog, he discusses the service problem. I'm glad to see an honest admission of Juiced Bikes' failures on the customer service front, and a commitment to improving it. This has kept Juiced from enjoying a higher regard among ebikers. Here's the link.

Juiced RipCurrent-S (aka RCS) - 1000 km Impressions and Log Summary

The controller does not have regulated voltage and I'm not aware of any ebike that does. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. The behavior you describe is typical of bikes at low voltage and this is the result you'll get every time. It's not bad design, it's typical design. I'm concerned that...

Heavy drag. Sanding sound in rear. Metal on metal. Electrical problem I think

Motor problem? Doesn't sound electrical to me. My next guess is, check the brakes. If they're not opening properly, you might get something like this.

With Scorpions Almost Ready... What Will Tora Work On Next?

Always the problem with Juiced Bikes: innovative product design, poor QC/customer service.

What's your plan for a flat tire 10 miles from home?

Your firsts example would be those steep valleys that I mentioned as an exception to the rule. Burned cell phone towers don't impede ham radio repeaters, unless the towers that they are on burned also. That is so much an exception that it is squarely in that 1%. Here's a repeater map for...
