Bigger wheels better on rough terrain?

No question, a fat tire bike with suspension will smooth out your ride. Maybe unbelievably. That's what my current ride (Juiced Bikes HyperScorpion) has and I've got to say I was truly amazed.

    PAS Levels, torque vs speed?

Reading the answers, I don't think folks are getting your question. You're not talking about internal gears in the hub motor. You're talking about a bike with an IGH, or Internal Gears Hub. If I'm wrong, then disregard the rest of my comment. An IGH bike will have a mid-drive motor, which is...

New Hyper Scorpion - not all electronics working

Since posting the comment you quoted, which was based on my purchase of a Scorpion, I've also bought a HyperScorpion. (Black Friday discount made it work for me.) I've had zero problems so far. I've got to admit that, reading the many comments like yours, I'm still a little worried even with...

Federal eBike Definition vs. States Class Definition

There is such a welter of laws and regulations that it is impossible to make any general sense of it all. For instance, one national park may have different rules than another, but they are both part of the same federal agency. Technically, my HyperScorpion is not an ebike by my state's...

What happens if you forget to push OFF on the battery?

So, I left it on from one day to the next. The voltage dropped about 0.1 volt. Other than that, no difference.

    Odometer? on RC-S

I don't know if the display on your RCS is configured the same as on my HyperScorpion, but I have two mileage indicators. The first is on the main screen. The second is on the advanced screen. The 2nd one is the trip meter, and re-sets easily with a push-and-hold of the on/off and Down buttons...

What happens if you forget to push OFF on the battery?

I've never left mine on for, say 24 hours. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

What happens if you forget to push OFF on the battery?

Nope. And it doesn't make much difference. Your battery will run down by the tiny amount needed to keep that green LED lit, is all. I don't know how long it would take for it to be a measurable difference because I haven't tested it. It just doesn't matter enough to get me curious. ;)

    HyperScorpion Review from NC

I bought a HyperScorpion in November when the Black Friday sale hit their website. I got it about two weeks ago, and I've put a little over 150 miles on it so far. Here are my thoughts and observations up to this time. First and foremost, the combination of a powerful motor, powerful...

With Scorpions Almost Ready... What Will Tora Work On Next?

As commuters go, I think they've gone as far as they're going to with the CCX. I don't see them going back to cruisers, like the old OceanCurrent. A cargo bike would be a natural extension of the HyperScorpion. Combine the old ODK with the HyperScorpion and I think they'd have a winner. The...

Juiced Bikes - How To Turn On Race Mode

Good video. Should be helpful for many new JB owners.

    Torque and Cadence help, please!

You don't have to choose which one is being used. There is a setting in the Advanced menu where you can turn off torque sensing and have cadence-only. Can't do the reverse. They work very nicely together. When you very first start pedaling, there is a brief lag before the motor kicks in -- less...

    Charging Question

Here's the chart a lot of us use. To use the multimeter, take your battery out and look at the connector port (not the charging port.) You will see two holes. Put the negative probe in one and the positive probe in the other. If you guessed right, it will show the current voltage. If you...

Juiced RipCurrent-S (aka RCS) - 1000 km Impressions and Log Summary

My Scorpion does something similar. My CCS braked almost silently, and my HyperScorpion is pretty good also. I don't know what the deal is with the Scorpion. It stops just fine -- the brakes work as they should -- so why the noise? I'm stumped. This doesn't really help you, unless misery really...

CrossCurrent X is it possible to sit up straight

I used a stem extender on my CCS. No problem with brake/shifter lines. Plenty of slack left. It didn't bring it all the way up to the "sit-up-and-beg" posture of a cruiser, but it was much more upright, which I like. With the Black Friday prices Juiced is running, you could get a...

    Elephant in the Room

Slow speed maneuvering class at MotoMark1 in NC. Excellent training, and absolutely applicable to bicycle riding, as you said.

    Is Tesla serious?

Thing is, if it doesn't have pedals, then it's not classified as a bicycle anywhere in the US. Maybe the EU, too. And that has serious ramifications. In my state, North Carolina, you'd have to register as a moped and have insurance. Not the free-and-easy world of ebikes!
