    Swapped my 44T chainring for a 52T

Speed sensor is on the rear wheel, it's not affected by anything but the wheel diameter setting. Top speed verified by city radar speed check, 55 km/h on flat ground, but I can easily push it to 60 km/h.

    Swapped my 44T chainring for a 52T

Very nice, I run a Wolftooth 50T and really like it.

Jugernaut Ultra 1000 - Dutch commuter style w/ integrated lights

Nicely done and excellent write-up, especially concerning the lighting circuit modifications. I'll be doing some soon, so it's much appreciated on component selection!

New Bafang Ultra - 1000W Torque sensored motor!

In theory, about 1700 watts peak, with a 30-amp capable fully charged 52V pack, or 1500W with a 48V pack.

    Bafang Ultra Max Mid-Drive Options?

Yep not including battery. And yes the FS is a much heavier bike.

    Bafang Ultra Max Mid-Drive Options?

Just weighed my Ultra 1000, also just shy of 52 pounds, two pound bias to the rear wheel.

    Bafang Ultra Max Mid-Drive Options?

I've never felt the need to get a suspension seatpost, but they definitely work. So do titanium, carbon, and broached aluminum (thompson elite) seatposts for that matter... The longer the seatpost extension, the more flex they provide, which adds to saddle compliance for a smoother ride...

    Bafang Ultra Max Mid-Drive Options?

Hmm, that seems like a high weight figure... I'll put mine on the scales this weekend if I get a chance. The bike actually feels quite light for what it is, may also come down to the well balanced weight distribution too.

    Bafang Ultra Max Mid-Drive Options?

Hmm, mine actually came with the SRAM NX 11 speed, wonder if that's been changed? Might have to inquire with Biktrix about that to be certain. The SRAM shifting is incredibly quick and precise, very robust components, although not without its maintenance requirements (chain and cassette wear)...

    Bafang Ultra Max Mid-Drive Options?

Clancy, right on man! If you have any other questions bout it, hit me up. I know you will have a blast with the bike, for pretty much any use case. The combo of great assist modes, torque sensing, thumb throttle, lots of torque and great programming from Biktrix really set it apart from the...

    Bafang Ultra Max Mid-Drive Options?

Hey Clancy, yep I can tell you all about it, it's really the best ebike for the price, and after 3000km already on it, I'd buy it all over again. It's definitely the best pre-built option out right now for a fatbike capable of over 45km/h, and backed up with the peace of mind of Biktrix customer...

    Biktrix Purchase—Phenomenal experience!

The Ultra 1000 is their greatest bike IMO and one hell of a first ebike!! You are going to be very happy with it, really a top notch ebike in every regard, and actually a great deal... There really isn't any other retail ebike near it's price range that can touch it.

    Juggernaut Ultra FS

Most full suspension ebikes are quite heavy, this is a function of adding multiple shocks and associated extra parts... Some lighter ones do exist but they tend to be well over the 5 grand mark. Biktrix does have a special rear rack for the FS, you could inquire about that... It is designed to...

    Juggernaut Ultra FS

the outer diameter of the 26x4" and 27.5" x3" are actually almost the exact same, so similar gearing/speeds assuming similar rolling resistance/tire compliance. Tektro Dorado and Auriga brakes are fantastic and I doubt you will ever need more stopping power than these provide. The magura...

Bafang Ultra - Display Screen Questions

That's a surprising overrun on your clock, mine seems to only pick up about a minute a week! I believe the calories counter is rider energy consumption based on torque... but I've never bothered to watch it, since I doubt it has nearly enough data to even spitball that figure.

    Super Commuter Version 1.1

Haha yea, no cows at the farm, only chickens and organic vegetables. I do run Juggernaut as well yep! Amusingly enough, also an engineer. I definitely agree on the Bafang Ultra... It's pretty much the new standard by which to compare all other mid-drives. Future improvements at Bafang should...

    Super Commuter Version 1.1

Great to hear Feliz! It will be a fantastic extended range tour bike. I hope to be able to ride one to the farm eventually (250km distance, mostly completely flat in Saskatchewan). It's appealing to think that in just a few years, there should be an electric gravel bike that could do this on a...

    Super Commuter Version 1.1

Honestly with an "automotive grade" ebike, the design choices you guys took make perfect sense. Stealthy battery packs don't go with long range commuter bikes, an open form factor is the only sensible route. Thanks to the essentially "industry standards" based configuration, any bike shop in...

Known Issues & Problems with Biktrix Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

That also looks like a much better tool, though it's going to need more leverage (or a good impact tool) to get er done. I had to use a custom tool with a 1/2" impact gun to get that PITA ring off there.

Known Issues & Problems with Biktrix Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Somebody really needs to supply these tools reliably, it's inevitable that owners will want to service their bikes... As I mentioned I couldn't find a reliable supplier either, so I ended up making my own tooling for this.
