    Ultra Eagle review

Depends what road speed you're at... It varies! Your feet will teach you the correct cadence.

Pausing M600 City Commuter till early Q4 2020 - Please read.

Challenging times right now so the delay is understandable, great way to deal with it though!

Possible to Add a Rohloff SpeedHub & Belt Drive to a Juggernaut 1000?

I agree! Simply prefer everything about 12-speed derailleur (weight savings and balance vs IGH, latest chains are ultra-strong, gloriously smooth shifting, loads of gear range at 454% on 11-50) That being said, everyone has different priorities... I clean my chains weekly and have switched to...

    Swapped my 44T chainring for a 52T

Same point applies for pedaling of course... too low of cadence with high load is hard on the motor mechanically, especially as assist/torque increases. Keep those pedals turning :)

    Swapped my 44T chainring for a 52T

Right on! Yep I've noticed a few times their chains were too long in stock config. For each SRAM or Shimano drivetrain there are actually clear manufacturer instructions on getting the chain length perfect from the start, also you can figure it out intuitively based on derailleur "stretch" in...

Possible to Add a Rohloff SpeedHub & Belt Drive to a Juggernaut 1000?

Depending which year of Ultra 1000 you have, you might have QR or thru-axle... My 2019 is Quick-Release (190 QR), but I think the newest Ultra 1000s are thru-axle (so are the Ultra FS and Eagles). 197 x 12mm would be the correct TA format I believe. Also, you'll need to find a front pulley...

    Ultra Eagle review

That's unusual about the battery/range concerns, this bike should have outstanding mileage.... Which battery pack did you get on it? One thing that might negatively affect range is if you ride the motor improperly, IE running it throttle only without being in the correct gear. are you pedaling...

Need Help Deciding Between Stunner LT and X and Swift

If you're hitting hills and trails, I'd fully recommend the Stunner X, since mid-drive has some clear advantages for climbing. Standover should be plenty comfortable for you, I'm same height and 29" inseam, have ridden the X and it's fantastic. The bike will actually sit a bit lower if it has...

Talk About The Kindernay Gear System

This is the only IGH I've ever seen combined into a hub motor: https://www.ebikes.ca/shop/electric-bicycle-kits/tdcm-igh.html I don't think it's a popular idea due to the fact that hub motors are waning in favour of mid drive motors, not to mention the engineering hurdles. Definitely expect to...

Talk About The Kindernay Gear System

When it comes to getting the highest top speed, playing it safe isn't the way... Ya gotta break some eggs to make an omelette and all that ;) Sounds like the Kindernay has more torque rating, better shifting under (light) load, way better shifting feel, solid compatibility with newer frames...

Talk About The Kindernay Gear System

This is a super cool option for Watt Wagon bikes and I'm stoked to see this hub being put to use! Seems so much more practical than the Rohloff for sure.

    Ultra Eagle

Same tier fork from an internals perspective. Yari RC is the more expensive, heavier fork for sure, 180mm travel is massive. Me, I'd choose the lighter fork every time, and the hard-tail bike every time, so I am a bit biased! No need for full-suspension in my cycling life to be honest... I've...

    Ultra Eagle

Better fork? They are basically the same tier forks actually (motion control dampers). Yari is long travel trail, Recon is cross-country. Same brakes on both bikes... Biktrix gives you a couple options. Frey uses a cheap NECO headset, the Ultra Eagle uses actual Cane Creek. 52V high capacity...

    Juggernaut Ultra 1000 Frame Size

That would be necessary to maintain the correct chain length, yes. Four more teeth worth basically.

    Juggernaut Ultra 1000 Frame Size

Ultra 1000 is very flexible size-wise! I'm 5'7 and 29 inch inseam, I run the bike with a 400mm seatpost, on very tall wheel+tires (30" diameter!). Loads of standover room with the low swept top tube. Reach wise, the bike feels perfect to me.

    Juggernaut Classic vs HD

Eunerau likely doesn't provide lifetime frame warranty with the certainty Biktrix does, but the whole warranty and customer service thing probably you already know (Biktrix has an industry-leading reputation for excellence in these regards). As for ebikes beating cars, you're damn right they...

    Juggernaut Classic vs HD

I run Terrene Cake Eaters with studs in winter, remove studs for rest of the year. Takes a bit of time, so this coming winter I'm just going to build another wheel set for winter only. The bike is amazing, definitely the favourite in my garage!

    JUGGERNAUT ULTRA EAGLE-NEW

The whole thing is assembled in Canada from what I've seen in person (right here in Saskatoon!). It's a really beautiful and well-specced bike, I got a chance to take it for a quick test ride and was totally blown away! Very light and nimble, while still being a completely smooth ride...
