Kindernay VII IGH and HYSEQ Onesie shifter

Concider getting a back up drain plug. Affordable at the time shipping is already headed this way. I would be interested in a couple of 7 bolt 220+ mm rotors from them Ava1ar.

Kindernay VII IGH and HYSEQ Onesie shifter

Nice!!! My K14 oil was pretty gunked up and glittering all over at 150 miles. I'm going to change it again at 300 or so. The drain plug has very brittle metal and the shoulders are easy to chip using a standard screwdriver blade and it turning sideways in the slot before contacting the...

How do you inject tube sealant?

FlatOut may not need to be refreshed as often or ever like Stans every so many months and others need refreshing. FlatOut is supposed to be able to seal up to half inch holes. I believe FlatOut "sportsman's formula " is recommended for bike tires. (Thinner?)

    Bosch Solar Charging

I like it that people who understand these things are figuring it all out. I just want to be able to charge bike batteries by solar - the end result, not the journey. :)

    Day6 delivered!

Just bike companies in general. I've only been back around bikes (ebikes) for a year and I'll bet I've heard a hundred bike company names that I have never heard of before. Autos were the big three and some recognizable imports that I was commonly aware of 20 years ago. Then I started paying...

    Day6 delivered!

I look at all the bike company names that I've never heard of and it reminds me of the dozens or hundreds of car companies that we're not aware of their names anymore - starting with steam and battery from before the last century.

    Using Bondo for plastic repairs?

I knew an old timer ("hick") that used bond with less hardener to repair radiator leaks. Always stayed a little soft and pliable. Held and worked on tubes with fins swept to one side. If bond or special plastic repair product, drill holes in plastic both sides?

Kindernay VII IGH and HYSEQ Onesie shifter

I will say that having and loving my K14 I will be surprised if you find you shift 3 gears at a time very often. I originally planned to let my Hydra built go through as speced to not throw any fly in the ointment and hold up delivery. Then I was going to order a K7 and switch it out myself or...

Spare Kindernay Internal Geared Hub Oil kit

Very generous of you Scrambler, thank you. Note to all new to Kindernay....change oil early (150 mi) and more often than recommended....in my opinion.

Yes QR handle. Okay. BarnBoy had a shifting issue when he reinstalled back wheel too tight. Shared that in his Hydra thread.

Wow, looks great. Yeah, mechanical clicking type torque wrench. I'll check and update this post with numbers. Edit: A little more direction. One side of axle has allen wrench hole to put torque wrench in, other side has a "knob"/"handle" . If I just check torque, handle has it locked up...

Yes. Tell me step by step how you would get proper torque reading.

My DIY builds: GMAC, BBSHD, 9C RH212, CYC Photon, ToSeven DM01

I see on FlatOut they have a "sportsman" formulation recommended for bike tires. (Thinner?)

Great info on why to use FlatOut for anyone who wants to know. Thanks for restating it for us new to biking. For high pressure tires I wonder if that newly released sealant with carbon fiber will be the ticket.

A bike shop that I bought a Scott EMTB from uses only Stans. But they said it needs to be refreshed every so often. I believe I will try FlatOut for this reason when I start installing my own sealant.

    Magura EStop brake issue

Well, that's great information, even if not the most encouraging, about parts.
