Scrambler, earlier you said you need to order another license plate. I will be interested to hear what company you get that from. I think DMV is only agreeable to provide different plates if we have lost or damaged plates. But there must be some company out there making up plates to order -...
Zero leaks or seep for my K14. Yes I'm going to change more often - especially at first. My first change at 150 miles the oil looked like a nice metal flake fountain pen ink and was between dark brown and black. Just coming up on another change soon.
I think K will tell you 20 ml is the refill amount after using about 20 to do a rinse. Somewhere in reading about problems with seeping hubs I saw that their idea of a fix was to have less oil volume in the hub. And they justify the low amount of oil by saying hub innards just need to have oil...
I haven't. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes, in my hsste, I don't get a full and complete shift and I'll hear extra noise as I'm pedaling. I can shift a gear up or a gear down and then return to the gear I really wanted. Or, a more elegant solution was put forth by BarnBoy in his...
Loamoaf I'm sorry you don't have your motor and controller yet. And, I'm sorry to see you put that much effort into a post knowing it reflects how much this whole situation cuts deep into your personal "feelings" and values.
Nice to have a video. A lot of people might peg that as way too much grease. 'The gears don't need to be swimming in grease, just lubricated by it.'
I don't know for sure personally, but, worth getting some knowledgeable input on that point.

Hey Merle,
I am pretty sure it will need grease cause the ones I have taken down sure did. Once again I can't recommend the cornhead grease highly enough over red lithium suggested in some places....
Get your bike upside down which may involving rotating the screen or other tender parts on...
Welcome to EBR Roy814. A member here sent me fantastic instructions on how to open the Ultra motor and change out grease. If @JRA doesn't mind I would copy and paste that over here.
I think you will find this community to be both enjoyable and invaluable Roy. I'll give JRA time to notice I...
Great that you're riding enough to notice significant tire wear. Idea of miles put in? I look forward to putting on new more agressive tires but mine show little wear in 300 miles or so on dirt and gravel.
Do you know which Stamp pedal you had on your Hydra? Mine shipped with Stamp 2's that...
Yes, I see there is more I should get but hard to do on my phone. I'll get it all together tomorrow on my computer and to you.
Happy to do shipping split plus shipping to me - whatever you need to be fair to you. Thanks ava1ar.
