    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

Capacity is 160 lbs total. By design, the capacity is a *total* of 160 lbs (not per bike). Therefore, maximum bike weight is 160 lbs (if you only load one bike)! Maybe even a bit more since the weight will be closer to the vehicle with only one bike (less extension). It also comes with an...

My 4-Bike hitch rack: Loading the heavy Yukon 750 is made easy by lowering the rack. I hardly need to lift the bike at all. The front wheel is almost touching the ground (see below). I remove the heavy battery and locks ahead of time. Step 1: Lower the rack; start from the outside...

    Questions about Yukon 750

There is no resistance from the motor at all. It free wheels completely. No drag at all. Just like a regular bike.

I answer that question in another thread: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/is-riding-an-ebike-like-a-regular-bike-a-lot-harder-with-ebikes-being-heavier.10040/ Quoting myself:

    Questions about Yukon 750

    1) I'd like to know also... 3) The stock tires on the Yukon 750 are 30 TPI Wire Bead which makes them very puncture resistant. They are heavy, stiff and hard to remove, but worth it if flats are a concern, IMO. In contrast, foldable 60TPI and 120TPI tires are much softer and "premium", but...

2016 Voltbike Mariner - My Honest Review

A 48v 20Ah battery will likely cost almost twice as much as a 48v 10Ah battery, so the benefit is not cost savings, but convenience of not having to carry a spare battery. You could buy two 48v 10Ah batteries (to double your distance) and bring the spare only on long trips. Better yet, since...

Is riding an ebike like a regular bike a lot harder with ebikes being heavier?

Flats and declines are no problem to pedal without power since there is only the additional (heavier) inertia to overcome. Inclines are exponentially more difficult because gravity is added to the equation, and the extra weight begins to resist exponentially. For example, I can push a bowling...

@ace20ri Hope you can post some pictures of your new Yukon 750! (Tip: Take some "stock" pictures early on, because it will soon be loaded with your personal things which makes it less "clean" looking). Even my first picture was not 100% stock, because I already added my suspension seatpost.

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

@ace20ri Great! Be patient, my bike arrived to my door in 12 days after receiving my tracking #. It was 7 days transit time, but it arrived on a long-weekend, so that added another 3 days. Then on the Tuesday after the long-weekend, it didn't get put onto delivery truck in time, so that added...

    Just ordered

Yes, I am really enjoying it. I've been to places that I would not have gone simply because it was too far or too rough. The Yukon 750 allows me to go far like a road bike AND go into the trails like a mountain bike. It really is the best of both worlds! I have over 600 kms on it already in...

    Just ordered

I wouldn't worry that it still reads "processing". I received my Yukon 750 about a month ago, and my order still reads "processing" today. I don't think the online status gets updated at all. The important thing is the tracking # you get in a separate email from Voltbike when it actually...

Voltbike.ca no longer lists the Yukon 750 as "Pre-order/Limited stock". Hopefully, his means it is now in-stock, and shipping immediately for everyone; hopefully with the new enhancements (bottle cages, slap guard, etc.) as well!

Volt Bike Mariner 2016: So far so happy! Observations as they happen.

Were you able to decipher more of the codes, and did you make any changes to the default settings?

    Rad city.

Just to be clear, you are able to exceed the 20 mph limit with throttle only (no pedalling) on flats (no downhill)? I know that with pedalling and/or downhill, anybody can exceed the 20 mph limit.

Are you observing actual higher speeds after changing to 40 km/h? I read that setting it to higher speeds has no effect, the controller still limits it to 20 mph.

Have you considered the Voltbike Yukon 750 Limited? It has everything you want, including the newer Bafang G06 750w motor, full length fender and rack. I also like the new integrated battery design. Similarly priced. It ships directly from a US warehouse for only $70. I bought mine about a...

    New Voltbike Yukon 750 spotted

I really appreciate that the Yukon 750 uses mostly standard (non-proprietary) components that can be easily replaced or upgraded in the future (especially the battery). This was a big buying decision for me. Everything from the tires, wheels, deraileurs, cassettes, seat post, stem, fork...

@Voltman Thanks for the update. Just some more suggestions: 1) More than just 1 set of bottle holder bosses (if room permits). We use these for more than just bottles (eg. pumps, locks, etc.) Possible locations: (1) Seat Tube (2) Underside of down tube (3) Head Tube left & right (similar to...
