The eco mode is customizable in 10% increments from 30-90%. I'm not sure if you can go lower than 30% with older models, but I'm sure the 10% steps are the same. There is also a throttle mode that is only good up to 11mph which is kind of useless.
Yes, the battery was reset to 45kmh. I think he maxed all the values and if I remember correctly, there is a torque sensing value as well. If I am able to change this, I'll update this thread.
The new wheel runs slower. Before, the 16 mile trip took me 45 mins with about 36% left in the tank but now it takes me 50mins with 56% left. The bike is more responsive but slower overall which makes me sad. I would average 19-22MPH but now I can't seem to break into 20 as an average via The...
If it is a Specialized bike it has an odometer and a diagnostic tool(dealer only) that can tell you exactly how many cycles have been run. As for the other bikes, I'm not so sure.
Ok, I get what you are saying now. You could always test ride at one shop and ask the local shop to order it for you. Living in Hawaii, we get a lot of Specialized bikes that weren't purchased from our stores...I would say about 30-50 percent of them in fact and we don't have any...
The short answer is yes. Our LBS, local bike shop, has done warranty work on bikes purchased from elsewhere. The problem is getting the original bike shop to provide a receipt of purchase...at least in our experience so far to facilitate the warranty repair.
One question, why wouldn't you buy...
Besides the thud buster post, Bluetooth app "Misson Control" and the brakes are now Shimano as well as the cassette and shifter. Like Doug said, the motor is also upgraded from 200 to 250W. I would love to have this wheel but I guess I have to make up the 50W diff with my legs...
A tip on the brakes if they continue to squeal is to bevel the leading edge of the pads. I have already gone through the stock formula pads which were loud and replaced the rear with jagwire alloy semi-metallic pads which are awesome! I have not done the bevel tip to the pads though because the...
I think the turbo x would be a great choice for you. My commute is very similar to what you have in mind with parts of my commute path being unrideable on a road bike or very difficult at best.
My commute is 16 miles and via Strava I average 18-22mph depending on weather and energy level and...
@jwb that is true but I can't speak for another business. I tried looking up an extra battery on the dealer site and could not find one, that doesn't mean you can't order it though. The dealer site for looking up parts for any bike is especially horrible and you usually need to shovel through...
@jwb, yah eco30 sucks. I did the commute for two days and said forget it after that. The bike was stuck in that mode for some reason until I had the firmware upgraded and the settings reset to the USA standard.
Via the Strava app, I can usually average 19-22mph(depending on wind speed and my...
The tool and the updates to firmware are only available to dealers so try asking them if they can order the tool...they may not want to buy it just for your bike but if you are willing to pay for it, they may buy it for you. The tool is almost useless without access to the firmware which can...
What I seemed to find out is that by doing lower RPM's and hammering on the pedals more seemed to give me a bit more battery at the end of each commute. I don't know if this can be replicated with everyone though. I will say when running in eco30 I had 40% left after a 16 mile ride versus the...
Like J.R. Said there are things you can get from SKS or Mucky Nutz(?) that will easily fit the bill. I currently have the rear Mucky Nutz which works great but can sometimes get hung up on the tire which is bad. I'm so jelly!
Update...everything is A ok with the latest update! I won't actually be able to ride till later in the week to check for sure but on a quick test, everything felt right. On a side note, my display went out on the last ride and did not switch back on till the update went through. If your tech has...
Now that you know it's the weight in the rear, maybe trying different tire pressures can help with the problem? Free to try and may help some. I'm not sure which one should be higher or lower though...maybe someone will chime in. Good luck!
