    GoCycle? Any Experiences

Yesterday I test rode a GoCycle G2. (I believe they have the G3 available in Europe, but not yet in the U.S.) It was fun to ride, so I started doing some research. Court tested the G2 last year, but aside from that their is not a ton of information. And, there is not a GoCycle forum here...

Need Advice on Buying an Ebike

Hello LSS. I also live in MA, and we are lucky to have so many dealers within reasonable driving distance. I was able to test ride several bikes before deciding on the Stromer ST1 - but it does not have a throttle. I first looked at a conversion kit for my recumbent, and decided that wasn't...

Skid Lid - Brain Bucket - Cranium Catcher - Crash Cup

Always - no matter if I am riding the Stromer or another bike. 2 reasons: 1) last summer I was walking my folding non-ebike is a beach parking lot, and decided to take a few steps backward to look at a camper parked in the lot. Turns out my little bike had somehow gotten behind me and I went...

    Sitting on a Dead Cow

I have 3 bikes, and they all have Brooks saddles (67S - with springs for my sore back). I have been told that you can tell whether a Brooks will work for you fairly quickly - even on a short test ride. If it is really uncomfortable right off the bat, it is likely never going to be really...

    ST2 Handle bar adjustmets

Sorry - Local Bike Store. I bought my ST1 at a store in a bordering state (my LBS doesn't sell Stromer), but wanted them to help with the fit.

    ST2 Handle bar adjustmets

Yes. I had the LBS put in a small riser - kept the same handlebars. Much more comfortable for my neck and shoulder. I'm still not 100% happy with the riding position, but it could be I have my saddle too far back.

    Stromer ST2 Pick up truck

What type of hitch is that? I have a Burley trailer, using the standard rear-wheel hitch. I like the looks of the one in the photo - is it moveable from bike to bike?

    ....

Wide Eyez visor. It mounts on any helmet. I have one, but have not yet mounted it on my spare helmet. I am using a Giro Air Attack, and have both the clear and tinted visors. I also wear glasses, and the visors fit perfectly over both my sunglasses and regular glasses. I like the protection...

    Lock8, Skylock or Bitlock?

I understand that any lock can be defeated - and that is discouraging since I want to use my bike as a car replacement. When I get out of my car, I just hit a button to lock it, and walk away. I don't want to spend 10 minutes putting 3 locks on my bike, and another 10 getting them off - for a...

    Better Kickstand?

I ordered my click-stand, and it arrived this week. I think it is going to be a good solution. I ordered the Max - 5, which is the heavy duty, 5 part model. Tom - who makes each click-stand by hand, suggested I measure 3 places for where the click-stand might work: the seat rails, the rear rack...

    Performance upgrades to the Stomer?

I had my LBS swap out the stock stem for a slightly up-angled stem - as Ann M suggested. It works great for me and my sore back/neck. I also use Ergon grips so I can move my hands around a bit and lessen the pressure on my shoulders and neck. Finally, I have a Brooks 67S saddle that has...

TomTom Multisport GPS Watch & Others

PowerMe: EXACTLY what happens to me. I never get lost driving, but riding I am lost 90% of the time.

TomTom Multisport GPS Watch & Others

I don't see that it has built in GPS/mapping. It does seem to track where you've gone, but not give directions - which is what I need. "TURN RIGHT - OK, you missed it. Turn around, and try again." Maybe I'll stick with the Garmin or Mio. Also, when I left MS for Apple products in 2009, I vowed I...

TomTom Multisport GPS Watch & Others

I am not that impressed with the Apple Watch. I am all-in with Apple products, and would like a GPS cycling computer. I don't really need the high-end stuff like heart rate, power meters, etc. I just don't see the Apple Watch as the solution. Of course, that could all change with a visit to the...

TomTom Multisport GPS Watch & Others

I'm waiting to see the Apple Watch - which I think is going to be introduced Monday. It might be too small for GPS, but might be better than my i-Phone mounted on a handle bar. Which Garmin are you using?

Recumbent or DF for Senior Vet

Be sure you call before going - I don't think the shop is open full time in the winter. I love my Stromer - but again, was only able to ride it a short time before we got hammered with snow. For specifics on extended real world experience, go to the Stromer forum on this site, and look for Gus'...

Recumbent or DF for Senior Vet

Hello Bud- there is a really good e-bike dealer in NH - E-Bikes of New England, in Derry. That is where I bought my Stromer. When I was up there, I noticed he had a recumbent in the shop and was adding a BionX kit for the owner. I think it was a trike. He might be a good resource for creating...

Recumbent or DF for Senior Vet

Hello Bud - Just to be clear, I think you are asking about an e-bike vs. a non electric recumbent. If that's not it, feel free to ignore my answer. I also have back issues - but they are minor compared to what you describe. I sold my recumbent in September (Bacchetta/Corsa SS) and bought a...

    Any upgrades to Stromer ST1?

Hi JoePah - I absolutely agree, but most of what people (including me) have done is replace the stock items with personal preferences. For me, it was the seat, grips, rear rack. Then I added a light, mirror, and locks. I think those are just required bike accessories. I hope to use the Stromer...
