Turbo (hub drive) Anyone know the current versions of battery and motor software?

I’m on firmware 5.17 for the battery 55.0 for the motor

    Turbo X Won't Start

Sounds similar to what happened to me. Battery was determined to be dead and I got a new one (the bigger 691). It took at least 2 weeks (and that was quicker than some). Hopefully you are still under warranty and have a quick fix!

    4000 miles - 6400 km on Turbo S

From everything I'm reading, the hub drive seems better than mid-drive unless you have big hills over 10% or get lots of flat tires (pain to change with our setup). Otherwise I'm not getting the mid-drive religion. I love my Turbo X and I love it more over time! Stromer is likely a good...

    Looking for best commuter ebike

I think the end of your reply was cut off? I'd love to hear from Brose or Bosch owners whether they can cruise at 28 mph on the flats and how much effort is required. Strava estimates that it takes 743W to go 27.7 mph (I weigh about 150 lbs and my bike is around 65 lbs). Obviously adjust that...

    Fitness trackers for electric bicycle

I use my Fitbit (gives me roughly 300 steps per mile) and I also use (and love) Strava!

    2014 Turbo S Regen adjustment

Interesting - I didn't know any of the Turbos had brake regen. I don't think my S does. (And I don't have an answer for you, but I got a relatively quick response when I emailed [email protected] for a different question.)

    Turbo X Tubeless ready?

And I ordered the Almotions (planning to use them with tubes) - thanks for the recommendation!

    Turbo X Tubeless ready?

Interesting - I actually got a prompt reply from Specialized: Hello ROJA! Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, it looks like that rim and tire is not tubeless ready. I hope this helps! Best, Morgan

    Looking for best commuter ebike

Check out the great Specialized forum here on EBR: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/forum/specialized/ I will tell you that the 2015 Turbo X with its 200W motor is a great bike, but it maxes out the assist at 26 mph (not 28) and it will require substantial effort to reach that speed (even...

    Distance per charge? Nuances?

I log all my rides using Strava and I include in the filename the power setting used and the % of battery left at the end. After a bunch of rides, this has given me a good idea of my effective range under a variety of conditions. It's also really fun to use Strava and track your progress...

Pulling a Bob trailer with an e-mtb

Different kind of bike and trailer but this should give you an idea of what's possible! https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/cycling-across-america-marissa-muller-solar-powered-specialized-turbo.2111/

    Phone charge from computer display?

My Turbo X doesn't offer this, but at 60 lbs+ I don't really mind carrying a 4 oz external battery like one of these in my pannier bag: https://www.anker.com/products/107/Batteries. It actually comes in handy all the time for me!

I ordered the 2.0 Almotions today. Will install and report back!

    Thanks, Jan! Great info!

    4000 miles - 6400 km on Turbo S

Great report and thanks for sharing your experience! I hope you get at least another 6400 km on the new motor and battery! Did the battery degrade at all over that time and mileage? Were you charging every day? Any decrease in range over that time?

    Schwalbe Almotion vs. Energizer

Probably the 1.75" (700x47) Energizer vs. the 2.0" (700x50) Almotion. This is for a 45 kph pedelec (Specialized Turbo X - stock tire width is 47 / 1.75). I would likely use tubes either way. Anyone have experience with both and any view? Most seem to love the Energizer but a few have said that...

    Turbo X Tubeless ready?

Also, how can I tell what width tires I can use? The bike came with 47 mm stock. Could I put on 2.0 tires (about 50 mm) or smaller (38mm)?

    Turbo X Tubeless ready?

Anyone know if the 2017 Turbo X wheels are tubeless ready? How can I tell? FRONT HUBSpecialized, Hi Lo disc, alloy, RCC bearing system, QR, 36hSPOKESStainless, 2.3/2.0/2.0mmRIMS700c, disc, alloy, double-wall, pin joint, 36hFRONT TIRESpecialized Trigger Sport, 60TPI, wire bead, BlackBelt...

Does any suspension fork work on the Turbo or Turbo S?

For what it's worth, I'm happy with the stock OEM Paragon fork on my 2017 Turbo X. I rode the (rigid) Turbo S and it seemed too harsh for me and the kind of riding I planned (we have some bad roads and I wanted to commute on some packed trails).

Turbo (hub drive) - anyone have issues with brake cable rubbing the paint off the head tube? (see pic)

UPDATE: A few items recommended online: https://jagwire.com/products/small-parts/tube-tops?products/v/Tube_Tops https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XSZLRGY Park tool pre-glued puncture repair patches Orings.. Super light, cheap and they don't look s*it. Any old #06 will do the job for shifters and...
