General question for Aurora/ Omega owners.

The Aurora and Omega have identical drive/control systems except the Aurora comes equipped with the wireless cadence control (at least our '21 model was this way, but the wife now has the Omega with the optional wireless control added). They both have throttles and I believe they can simply be...

Great sale going on now at Evelo

The Omega uses the same handlebar as the Atlas (25" across at the end of the grips). I wouldn't call it a 'cruiser style'. The Enviolo full auto rear hub is pretty slick. Automatically gears down at a stop and maintains a consistent cadence as your speed increases. You can easily add the...

    Quietest motor?

The wife has the Evelo Omega and I have the Atlas. The Dapu MD750R on her Omega is virtually silent. My Atlas with Bafang M600 has a 'light whine' that is pretty subtle.

Great sale going on now at Evelo

Holy Smokes! That's a great price, a thousand less than what I paid!! I wonder if that's the 'new normal'?

    Aurora Limited SL

Ah-ha, I didn't realize Evelo had modified some of their returns! I wouldn't have any concerns about the chain strength. The majority of mid drive ebikes on the market are still using chain and derailleurs. I have the Atlas with the manually shifted Enviolo hub (same as the SL) and it works...

    Aurora Limited SL

I'm a big fan of the Evelo/Gates Belt/Enviolo drive system, which is not all that common in the ebike market (yet). But they do command a much higher price. The Aurora Sport (Limited SL??) with the chain drive, derailleur, and hub drive puts it into a VERY crowded market with a lot of other...

    2022 ATLAS - 6 MONTHS & 800 MILES LATER

Finally got everything together and installed the 22t rear sprocket and 125t belt. Had to run the belt adjustment to the minimum center distance but it just fit. Original ratio was 55/26 = 2.12, now 55/22 = 2.50. Sunny and in the 40's so I got out and put on a few miles and I like the change...

    Rear View Mirror for Bike

I also picked up the Hafny mirror for my Atlas and it works quite well (very nice quality). They are $15 thru Amazon. My bike tipped over and mirror got smacked and the plastic stem cracked near the joint. It still functioned but I did use a glob of epoxy to reinforce the cracked stem. The...

    2022 ATLAS - 6 MONTHS & 800 MILES LATER

The Atlas uses a 55/26 sprocket combination with a 128T belt (Gates CDX series). And the 55T front sprocket appears to be the largest available with the 4 bolt mounting pattern, therefore a smaller rear sprocket is the only way to get higher gearing. Unfortunately, there is only about 5/8" of...

    2022 ATLAS - 6 MONTHS & 800 MILES LATER

Really pleased with the Atlas and feel this model is quite unique. Mine arrived in August 2022 and it’s working very well. I’m very impressed with the range of the standard battery. I run PAS #1 probably 95% of the time on mostly flat paved trails and I can easily get 50 miles with 15-20%...

Atlas throttle option suggestions; on & off the handlebars.

Spend the 35 bucks for the throttle! To get a quick start across a busy intersection To get started from a dead stop in awkward situations when its difficult to get your feet on the pedals Works great in sand, gravel, or sketchy conditions when you need to keep both feet on the ground Blip...

    Atlas first impressions

NO! The knurled end must remain on the outside! The longer smooth end recesses into the left fork leg.

Atlas throttle option suggestions; on & off the handlebars.

Wow! Are there really "throttle Police" that monitor trails in your area?? I'm in northeast Ohio and have ridden a few places in Columbus, Millersburg (Amish country), Mansfield, Mt Vernon etc and I've never encountered anyone that was interested! The Atlas can only achieve 28 mph at full...

rbeckert!! Your front axle is installed wrong! That knurled nut needs to be on the left fork. It should not be sticking out like that. Remove the axle and insert it thru the right side fork.

    Mag Wheels

Had mag wheels on my first ebike (Oct 2016) and they were pretty cool. Wanted to avoid the rusting spokes I was getting on my regular bike when riding the beaches. I'd definitely consider them again, but you don't see them much. As mentioned above, the rear hub would need to be a custom item.

    Mag Wheels

Mag wheels on motorcycles are an easy way to allow tubeless tires. They are maintenance free but not recommended for off-road/adventure motorcycles.

Evelo Omega - 200 Mile Review

Hmm.. that doesn't sound great. My wife's Omega just arrived in early October (and then we were out of town for several weeks). We just put 30 miles on it around Columbus and she had 52% left on her battery. But she was running mostly in PAS #1. I have to say that her motor is dead quiet, my...
