    Cannondale Contro-e Short Review

I didn't like the look of that bike when I first looked at their website. I'm a die-hard Cannondale fan - my first mountain bike purchased new in the 1980s was a Cannondale. All my road riding has been done on aluminum CAAD bikes. But then I see that gorgeous picture you posted and that...

Always On Daytime Running Lights...May have screwed up my CCX controller

I really hate hearing that. That's got to be frustrating. Do you think you fried the whole controller or just the display? I noticed the controller was $199 on their website but am not sure what the display costs. Hopefully considerably less.

First ride report & Low voltage setting for CCX

I set my low voltage to 45 volts which according to Juiced is 20%. 80% is 55 volts according to them. This is for the 52V CCX. I haven't noticed the drop in odometer mileage but I don't look at it much. I use a separate Garmin Edge 500 for all stats.

CCX Race Mode Offers Less Assistance than Sport Mode?

Thanks for raising this issue Brian. I would have never gone to the Juiced Support site and looked at it. I never even tried Level 0 until today and I've had my bike for a month. I did engage R mode a couple times but thought it was darn close to S mode so I only used S mode. Honestly I...

Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Since this is a Known Issues Thread with Juiced Bikes I'd like to borrow from another's thread that noted that some new Juiced CCX's were sent out with the controller programmed with the CCS firmware. This will hamper your CCX's ability to take advantage of R(ace) mode. The easy way to test if...

CCX Race Mode Offers Less Assistance than Sport Mode?

As an update - I emailed Juiced Support and had a response in 15 minutes and a follow-up for confirmation of my address. I watched that video on how to replace the controller and also downloaded and read the PDF. Looks like a very simple procedure. I'm actually anxious to check out race mode...

    Yet another CCX owner

I want them to succeed too, Dan. I have no idea about their long-term ability to be solvent - or even to be around. I'm happy for now but I know things change in a hurry. I've been through hell with my early Model S and haven't had an issue in a year of ownership with our Model 3 so things...

    Yet another CCX owner

All good points Dan. I turned off assist at the top of a very long climb and rode it down unassisted where I achieved my top speed of 33.4mph. This was under my own power. On the road in the bike lane I was around 30mph- assisted. That's two mph over the 28mph limit. I'm personally...

Yamaha EBike with most natural assist and regular bike feel

Back in the old days of Tesla, I'm talking 2011 and 2012, the Tesla Manufacturer forums were the only ones around. Nobody used Facebook or Reddit for products in those days. There was this guy, Brian H. was his username. This guy knew EVERYTHING about Tesla. People would ask about bolts on...

Yamaha EBike with most natural assist and regular bike feel

"So, sir, you are wrong. I don't hop in on various threads to throw shade. I have respect for the products that work exceptionally well, and am honest about products that don't work as well. It's interesting that you claim to be a poster of peace, yet throw out insulting, baiting terms in your...

    Yet another CCX owner

I'm in California, Dan. I just took it out at 30+ mph but that was in a bike lane on the road. Bike path I stay under 20mph - and the posted speed limit is 15mph. Both S and R get me over 30mph on flats. I'm 50 years old and 6'2 and 150 pounds. I have thousands of road bike miles but I...

Yamaha EBike with most natural assist and regular bike feel

This is why on all Amazon reviews I always select "Verified Purchase" and read those. If you don't own it, you are definitely entitled to your opinion, but it means little to me. The people that have purchased the product and used it are the ones I want to listen to. Everybody else just...

    Yet another CCX owner

Man, I just went out for what I thought would be a 10 minute fun ride on my CCX. Turned into 46 minutes, 21.9mph moving average, 820ft elevation gain, 17 mile ride. Took it down the path and all the way up the toll road. Garmin says the top speed was 33.4mph. There is something surreal about...

CCX Race Mode Offers Less Assistance than Sport Mode?

Interesting. Just went for a ride on my CCX. I've never used 0 mode. There is definitely assist going on with my 0 setting. Motor comes on and bike propels forward. Seems same as ECO for me. But R doesn't cap out. I tested it out and R and S seemed very similar - over 30mph on each...

Yamaha EBike with most natural assist and regular bike feel

I shoot for an average cadence of 105rpm on my road bike. It's WAY lower on my CCX eBike. I don't have a cadence sensor on it but after years of cycling I would guess it's somewhere between 80-90 for me to be in my comfort zone with it. A little lower if I'm going only 15mph or so on ECO or...

Hyperfat 1100 and Ripcurrent S Tires and Tubeless Maxxis Minions

I am blown away by the sheer number of bikes that Juiced has in their inventory. And they still run out of stock. These guys must literally be selling thousands of bikes. They are staffing up the technical support and other than the outlier with an issue that remains unresolved the quality...
