Using Dahon's valet Truss for the front cargo?

Welcome @cutemint0615! For all info avail, you would be another accessorizing pioneer like @Kathy Smith with her Brompton compatibility research. I believe the hole spacing is either the exactly the same, or within a 1mm close enough with 1mm smaller bolts on the Volador/Dolphin, ie. worst...

tons of research later, here's the ebike I got

Please accept my apologies @tomdav if I came across as irreverent; I didn't know there was a lost cat website, or that somebody could be an Amazon affiliate, and have a declaration obligation. Learn something every day.

tons of research later, here's the ebike I got

I figure this is @LostCat's own thread about her bike journey, and the mods she's undertaken with links. I don't think there is any commercial agenda to this. The links are super helpful for anyone that comes along later. There's also a growing compendium of cute animals enjoying...

tons of research later, here's the ebike I got

I suppose it's more of a comfortable speed gyroscopic stability thing. When on flat ground, at power assist 5, the 14t Shimano "top gear" pedal cadence is a bit frantic and unstable >25mph. Replacing with an 11t freewheel provides a 22% taller gear ratio and should allow some mechanical...

    Smart helmet?

Alas, I think I need a new iphone with a better nighttime camera. My nighttime pictures don't really do it justice. I would describe the brightness of nighttime safety lights, and signals, front and rear, as being comparable to a couple LED penlights. The front white LEDs are similar to a...

    Smart helmet?

I'm not sure about the Google Play Store, but in Apple app store there are two Brooklyness icons. and I'm using the top one. When the app opens, the choices are either scooter settings or helmet functions. Video is saved to the app and you can download it from there. I also sent an email to...

    Smart helmet?

For anyone interested, I finally received my Classon helmet today (massive COVID logistics delay in local customs clearance, not any fault of Brooklyness). Surprisingly lightweight considering all the stuff inside. I honestly can't tell if it weighs any more than my existing Gyro, which is...

Will Boomerang V2 Cyclo Trac ever come back? It looked promising.

Another update this am that their long-awaited "revised V2 enclosures" shipment is now due from overseas in the middle of July. They'll have to put their new techno guts inside, package, and send out to their pending order book. Maybe all that gets done by early August? Anyway, I'm sticking...

    Smart helmet?

Me too. Alas, still stuck in COVID-19 international shipping/customs limbo. Looking forward to fully nerding-out.

Will Boomerang V2 Cyclo Trac ever come back? It looked promising.

@Golferpaul I'd read the same, but was reassured by hearing they'd received some quantity of financial backing from Netgear pre-COVID, so are presumably in sufficient financial shape to fulfill the outstanding backlog (some of it going back years) and update software. They've just updated their...

New cable for the Dolphin's light

My OEM Wuxing headlight cable sheath is faintly embossed with 2 x 0.3mm(2), which might be closer to AWG 28-2 (at 0.32mm diameter) in the states (seems to be common with burglar alarms and stereo equip). The AWG 22 is twice as thick at 0.6452mm. I am no expert in these things though, having...

    Rad Mini Headlight upgrade.

I'm scared to do anything further right now. The part I'm missing is the electrical competence to actually know what I'm doing with up and down converters. Lols. The last thing I want to do is pull a Milton and "set the building on fire". Your ride looks amazing. Appreciate any picts so...

    Rad Mini Headlight upgrade.

Yeah, but it was a bad idea. @Customstockz the Makita/Black&Decker power pack adapter is genius, and it all looks so clean. I see the cleanly incorporated red switch on the side of rear light, are the double toggles on handle bar for each of the front spots? Love it. All while on daddy duty too.

2 New RAD City bikes- cresting over a hill.

@GrandPappyMike Anecdotally, from your experience, how noticeable is the improvement in stopping power with the Juin Tech R1? Was it a worthwhile upgrade? I'm considering those...

20" folding ebike front suspension retrofit options?

Thanks @Timpo those look to be 4" fat tire/"snow bike" (per alibaba) forks, and won't match the 10x100mm fork dropout for this project, but I will bookmark. If I can recover from the mildly offensive inference that I'm a kid bike rider, the Suntour XCM HLO Air SL 20 that @Nova Haibike...

20" folding ebike front suspension retrofit options?

I'm hoping someone with more folding bike headset experience can help me: I'm shopping for a front shock suspension fork for my 20" folding Qualisports Dolphin with disc brakes. I'd prefer to swap-in a quality magnesium product rather than the cheaper cr-mo alibaba stuff (which would be...

    Rad Mini Headlight upgrade.

I had a similar idea after a very dark ride at 25mph with the OEM on my Qualisports Dolphin. I wound up hooking up a 6-12v atv light bar under my front basket, but it drew too much current and fried a sacrificial fuse in my KT controller. I haven't bothered to replace that yet, but interested...

    Smart helmet?

Yeah thanks. I'll definitely familiarize myself when I get it in-hand and provide some first impressions. You're right tho, that the hardware is still a "working prototype" from the sounds of it. That's why I'm generally fine with small ongoing development costs and firmware updates as...
