Mission Control no longer provides elevation gain/loss.

Two things I can think of: 1. There's a setting in the app to sync elevation data from the phone. Maybe that got turned off? 2. If there's a barometric altimeter in the actual TCD, maybe the little hole is plugged. I'm not sure where it even is.

Specialized turbo vado 5.0 2023 crank

Just in case: You do know that the pedals thread on in opposite directions? One uses a left-hand thread. Also, in addition to the flats on the pedal side, many pedals also have an 8mm Allen key on the inside, which may be caked with dirt.

PAS drops out when I hit a sharp bump...

Oh, PAS drops to 0? Sorry, I misinterpreted that as "assist goes away", I forgot the cadence sensor bikes use PAS numbers. I've seen complaints about (and experienced myself) the Aventure.2 going to "OFF" when hitting bumps. I've never seen anyone claim to know the cause. It's not all bumps...

Is there a frame measurement distance on Aventure2 Regular vs. Large or is it just a longer seat post

As far as I know, the consensus is that they are the same frame with different seat post tube lengths.

PAS drops out when I hit a sharp bump...

Are the wires damaged where they are exposed under the bottom bracket?

Karoo 2 with Creo...Garmin still the best for long rides

Wouldn't the easiest way to do this be to use mission control to set the distance/ascent and desired remaining battery in the special power mode?

Schwalbe Super Moto X...Good Multi-Purpose Tire?

I swapped the stock knobby tires (Ground Control T7) on my Tero X with Schwalbe Johnny Watts. I ride on a mix of pavement, asphalt trails, packed gravel, loose gravel, and dry dirt. I'd say they're a hybrid between something like a Moto X and a knobby tire. In my experience the Johnny Watts are...

Going for a larger frame size for a hybrid bike than recommended

Looking at the geometry of the Tero vs the Vado ST: The small Vado and the medium Tero have the same reach The medium Vado and the small Tero have the same stack These don't seem like two bikes which are good proxies of each other for fit, even though the size guides say the same height ranges...

Specialized Micro Tune, can someone clarify how this works?

You get 10/10, 20/20, etc no matter what the previous mode was. The first time you enter microtune (from turning the bike on) you go to 50%. If you are in default ECO (35/35) and hit F2, you will feel more power, not less. You can add an info panel that shows the support/power settings if you...

    Vado 4.0 SL range

Maybe with the right kind of therapy I could overcome my compulsion to keep things fully charged.

Help finding a mid-drive, torque ebike with a throttle and natural pedal assist?

There are hub drive torque sensor setups (like Aventon's latest bikes) which are also class 2 (throttle). The torque sensing is not quite as nice, but it is an option.

    Vado 4.0 SL range

The bike has to learn the battery before you get accurate results. I suspected that from comments in reviews but I also found it to be true with my Tero X. I don't even know the true range of my Tero X because I haven't run the battery much below 50%, even on 30 mile rides.

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

Ah, I see, so it's not just the adjustment, it's a combination of where the adjustment is when the brakes are bled and where you move it. But even then the RSC seems to have more initial travel than people like

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

(I assume you mean can't get the engagement point to happen soon enough). I had noticed the adjustment for that has a ton of travel with very little effect. It's on my todo list to read the actual manual instead of just spinning the knob. But it sounds like that doesn't work?

Vado SL 4.0 - riding in the rain?

If my Tero X can't handle rain I'm not sure why they put such huge fenders on it. The guidance I've heard is not to pressure wash the bikes (there's enough force to drive water past seals) but I've hosed mine off with no issues. I see a claim that the batteries are IP67 but I don't see claims...

Help! Can't get my wife to try ebike.

She could probably improve that wobbly feeling by training herself to look farther ahead of the bike at low speed. It's natural to let your gaze get closer when you get slower, so you have to keep reminding yourself. This is an argument I could totally see having with my wife, and my spidey...

New Turbo Tero X 6.0 pannier bag?

I have one so I'm happy to measure stuff for you. Some notes offhand: There is one usable water bottle cage mount. The other does not have clearance for any kind of water bottle, so it would only be useful for tools or a spare tube with some kind of bracket. For the bottle cage I am using a...

My 2022 Turbo Vado 4 Review.

I go up a big hill by my house all the time at the equivalent rear wheel torque of the Vado 4 in turbo (on my Tero X, accounting for assist level and gearing) and it's fine. The main difference would be that my own pedal input is easier because I would be in a lower gear. If you want speed on...
