    I bought a Turbo Tero X 6.0, AMA

I had an opportunity to test the fenders a few days ago. There was a big tree down across the trail I was on, and I snagged the plastic extension fender on the front wheel both times I lifted my bike over it. It snapped back with no problem. It's tougher than it looks!

    NBD Tero X 5

I switched mine to a more compromise tire (Schwalbe Johnny Watts) but anything that gives you more of a solid center tread will make paved riding faster. I'm 6'4 and got the XL sight unseen (closest bike was a 5 hour drive away at that point). I'm not surprised by your result--I feel like the...

    Assembly question

You should lube the chain with real chain lube. And repeat weekly or every 100-150 miles if you ride that much. Don't worry too much about that first Level.2 chain. My Aventure.2 chain was basically made of cheese and has worn noticeably in about 350 miles. On another bike (where the chain gets...

    Smart system power outlets

BTW if you need connectors for any of these setups and can't find them, you could buy the adapters for the Varia eRTL615. They have cables for a bunch of motor types.

    Benefits of R&M?

There are a lot of positives. I almost bought one myself. The negatives in my mind were: 1. Cost. At the time, about 2x competing models. 2. Order time. If your bike isn't in stock at your dealer in your preferred configuration, you have to order from the factory. The factory does batches of...

    Vado 4.0 or Tero X 5.0

Confused the models. I rode a Trance E+. The one with the suspended rack is the Stormguard E+ The Delite Mountain doesn't have a suspended rack (and an optional pannier rack fender, but many of the Delite models do.

The journey to a comfortable ride

In my own quest for butt comfort I tried the Ergon SM E-Mountain Pro Men's saddle. I found it to be geometrically almost identical to the Tero X's stock Specialized Bridge Sport, but the Bridge Sport had nicer padding and a nicer surface. I'd say anyone considering an Ergon saddle should...

    Vado 4.0 or Tero X 5.0

I eyeballed at some point but it was only one step that looked doable. The chain passes through a notch in the rear triangle (which moves when the suspension moves) so the only way to be sure the chain won't hit the frame under any condition would be to test it in the worst cases. I think if I...

    Vado 4.0 or Tero X 5.0

I own a Tero X 6.0 and ride a similar mix to you. I routinely use about half the suspension travel (although I have removed the tokens from the front; stock it would be stiffer and use less travel). It's probably mostly due to riding on/off curbs and flying down hills with rooty asphalt, though...

    Tubeless tire experiences

My takeaway from tubeless is that it's more maintenance overall, _but_ you can do almost all of that maintenance at home instead of by the trail. If you are really prone to flats for whatever reason (e.g. pinch flats with low air pressure) then it might shift to the point where tubeless is also...

    New Spec App?

Another version, still no heart rate recording. I wish I knew if they planned to do it or if I need to find another solution altogether.

Today was supposed to be new Creo announcement day!

Once again the most interesting colors are in the base model. Or you could pay more than 2x as much to have it in "gray". Sorry, did I say gray? I meant "FSTGRN CARB DARK MOSS GREEN SPECKLE"

Turbo Tero 5.0 needs new tires - Suggestions?

I switched to TPU tubes (tubolito) at the same time I swapped to JW, and it turned out that the stock tire+tube combo and the JW + tubolito combo weighted the same amount to within one gram.

Turbo Tero 5.0 needs new tires - Suggestions?

I'm in a similar situation to you, except some of my trail segments are paved, and I often ride 4-5 miles on roads to get to the trails. I am using Schwalbe Johnny Watts (slightly different from the 365 above) which I like for the tight tread in the center (on road). They still have knobs on the...

Tall rider and Aventon Level 2

Aventon might be worst case here. I'm 6'4" have an Aventure.2, and the consensus on the internet is that the "frame size" difference is just the length of the seat tube. I get a very upright riding position on the large frame. I'm no where near maxing out the seat tube, though.

    Service needs and availability

It's wise to consider where you will get service. A lot of shops won't touch direct-to-consumer bikes or"off-brand" ebikes. If you want to be able to hand any issue off to a shop and be fully hands off, even "standard components" aren't enough if they don't want to touch ebikes.

Creo power level on Garmin is rider only

Ebikes used to have settings for that, but since speed limiting is a regulatory issue they've locked it down. That feature in the Garmin is kind of a big win if you care about odometry since you can't change it in the bike.

    Has anyone used a Speedbox 3.0 B on Supercharger2?

Is that a European limit? 25kph? This is actually one of the things that turned me off about the Bosch system. They seem to have some great components, but their software and setup seems very complex and locked down to the point where even dealers can't adjust things. And then sometimes you end...

    Pedaling with no power.

It's a fat tire bike. It has huge rolling resistance. The gears are set up for assist so they're much taller than normal fat tire bike gears.

    Tero X 5.0 quality

I think I'd still want mine to turn with the handlebars, even though that doesn't help a ton in turns. Honestly the pro side of that breaking off is that it's one less thing tying you to the stock stem. I'm thinking of changing my stem (going shorter) and it's fairly integrated to the electronics.
