Will schwalbe big Ben tires work on the dash?

700 refers to the wheel diameter and 45 refers to tire width. I explained tire sizes in the duplicate post and that might help you understand. See the other post at this link: http://electricbikereview.com/commu...ig-bens-tires-work-4-ezip-dash.408/#post-4141

Will schwalbe big Bens tires work 4 ezip dash?

Well, I looked up your Big Ben tire. It comes in size 50-622 for the colored tires. Our rims are labeled as 622-18 which means it is 18mm width. The Schwalbe rim width vs tire width chart shows 17mm and 19mm rim widths, so our rim is in between these two. The 17mm width goes up to a 50-622 tire...

Will schwalbe big Bens tires work 4 ezip dash?

Actually, if you look at the tires on the Dash they say 28x1.75x2 - 700x45c. So it is both a 700 tire and a 28" tire. Just make sure the tires you are looking at specify the 622 rim size. For the Dash oem tire it is 47-622. According to the Schwalbe Technical Info document on Bicycle Tires...

    E3 Dash Fenders

I just happened to click on the Cascadia 29er fenders link in post number two and found out it points to 45mm Cascadia fenders. Just to be clear, these are not the fenders I installed. The Cascadia 29er fenders I bought were 65mm wide.

    E3 Dash Fenders

Yeh, just an old habit of mine. I actually drill out the threads of the nut so they become hexagonal spacers. At my house nuts are so much easier to find than spacers.

Here's a few pictures of the Planet Bike Cascadia 29er fenders on the Dash

    E3 Dash Fenders

Update: I just finished the front fender mount. My idea about using small L-brackets worked pretty good. Front fender also looks real good on the Dash. So, bottom line is Planet Bike Cascadia 29er fenders are a viable option for the Dash. I'm tired now so I'm off to bed, but tomorrow I'll try to...

    E3 Dash Fenders

I'm presently installing the Planet Bike Cascadia 29er fenders on my Dash. I've got the rear fender done and it looks fantastic. It fits the wheel very nicely with lots of room to spare. As for the seat stay, I did a prelim install and marked where the seat stays hit the fender. Then using a...

Battery charging tips for electric bikes

I found that my Dash charger was getting pretty hot when laying flat on a table on it's rubber feet. So I tried placing the charger on it's side instead to allow the two largest surface areas to be exposed to the surrounding air. After a few minutes the charger appeared to be running cooler.

    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

I took my first ride today. It was only 7 miles, but I wanted to get a feel of how it does on the hills. There is this long, long hill that I've never been able to make it all the way to the top pedaling with my other non-electric bikes. Well, with the Dash in assist 3 I made it to the top with...

    Bike Size....M or L?

Well, I finally got my Dash this afternoon from REI. They lost the first bike that was supposed to come to the Eugene store. So I had to reorder and a second bike was sent. Bottom line, I'm so glad I got the S/M size because it fits me perfectly. I can stand with both feet on the ground when...

    Rear rack mounting for Dash

Thank you Brian. Those are excellent pictures. They certainly answer my original question which was do I use Non-Disc mounts or Disc mount for a rack. Since we have disc brakes on the Dash, I originally assumed I needed to order the Topeak Explorer disc mount style. But as your pictures clearly...

    Rear rack mounting for Dash

I know that there are rear racks that are designated for disc brake bikes. However, after looking at several pictures of the Dash rear wheel area and seeing how the brake assembly is mounted forward instead of upward, it appears that any standard rack should be able to be mounted to the Dash. It...

    Bike Size....M or L?

Lots of good discussion in this post. Since there aren't any Dashes in the local shops here, I have to rely on ordering a bike without a test ride. My main concern is stand-over height. I want to be able to stand with both feet on the ground when stopped. Looking at the geometry chart, H is the...
