Large guy looking to be less large...

Congratulations, that is so awesome! The nice thing about e-bikes is you can get as much of a workout as you want, but when you need a little help or want to take it easier you can. That makes much more fun to ride. For me, the result is I can't wait to get back out and ride some more.

Caution: Dash BB cups may be loose

That is a very good point. It seems like once Currie knew of the problem, all new bikes after a certain date shouldn't have to worry about this because they would have been checked by Currie before they were sent to a dealer. At least one would think so. However, I still think it is a good idea...

    Not 'the best' light, but...

Unfortunately, that zebralight is only 260 lumens. I think I would want a light as bright as my Cygolite Metro 360 which is 700 lumens. I held a red lens up to my flashing Metro 360 and it looked so much better than my PDW Danger Zone. Anyway, something for me to research and think about. The...

(non-standard) Maintenance tools for the Dash

Here's the crank puller you need: Park Took Crank Puller for Square Taper Cranks Also, you probably will need a regular 8mm allen wrench or a 8mm allen socket to remove the crank bolt. I don't know if you can get enough leverage with the Alien multitool 8mm allen. Once you remove the crank...

What I don't know about 20 mph 'systems' here in the US

I understand "FS mountain bikes" to mean full suspension mountain bike. And what they have to do with the 20 mph/US system is that for them to be legal on the street the throttle mode has to be limited to 20 mph. An example of a mountain bike that is off road only is the ProdecoTech Outlaw SS...

    Not 'the best' light, but...

DashRiprock, I have the Cygolite Metro 360 and it's a pretty neat little light. However, after seeing your lights I've been looking at some of the double lights offered. Since my primary concern is daytime visibility, I'm giving some thought to get one of these high powered lights with strobe...

Caution: Dash BB cups may be loose

Good News! I performed the procedures in the Bottom Bracket Tech Bulletin this morning and everything looked great. The wires were centered in the hole and were in perfect condition. The instructions were easy to follow and covered all the details necessary except for crank bolt torque when...

New "Flat-Less" Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres for 2014

Court, It was your videos that got me started learning about Izip bikes. You do a great job with your reviews and those videos are really fun to watch. And it was your videos that gave me the link to this site. So all the fun I'm having with my Dash has a lot to do with the fantastic work you've...

    Not 'the best' light, but...

Pretty cool looking light! Double lights stand out so much more than single lights. That will catch the attention of car drivers.

New "Flat-Less" Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres for 2014

Also, I have on order a couple of Schraeder to Presta rim hole adapter nuts. That way if I want to use my presta tubes, such as for backup in case of a flat, I can. The adapter nuts have a flange to reduce the hole size for the presta valve. There are a variety of rim hole adapters (some are...

Caution: Dash BB cups may be loose

My impression of Currie customer service from Larry Pizzi's contribution to this site to their excellent Currie Tech Dealer Support website is very positive. I feel Currie really wants to provide good information for us and to solve any problems we may have. I can't imagine them trying to hide...

New "Flat-Less" Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres for 2014

For one, the presta valve core is usually not removable making it very hard to fill with the sealant. With schraeder you remove the inner core when you fill with sealant. It's very easy to do. Ride-On even states that their product should not be used with presta valves. Personally, I don't like...

Weird! I just tried it and it worked for me. I think the xxcycle.com defaults to English, but xxcycle.fr will work as well.

New "Flat-Less" Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres for 2014

There are two holes in the Dash rim since it is a double walled rim. The inner hole is already the Schraeder size hole. The outer hole I will enlarge using a 21/64" drill bit.
