    Haibike Flyon......2019

From what I have read on several reports is that the Haibike Flyon freewheels when the motor is off or reaches it max speed cutoff, which obviously would be a definite plus, add that to the lighter weight of the carbon frame. Which, speaking of weight, I haven't seen any specs on the weight of...

Haibike Xduro fullseven 9.0 customer review

flynbulldog, I have a Fullseven and have had the similar issues regarding chain noise. It didn't start until about 800 miles on the odometer. Since then I have replaced the chain twice with KMC eBike specific chains which I am not sure are any better then the original Shimano chain that came...

    Nyon Retrofit

ditto what Alaskan said. I also talked with Bosch and was told that upgrading to the Nyon will not affect warranty with Bosch. My LBS has had my bike in for service and there were no issues re: Nyon, in fact they all wanted to know where I got it, how I liked it, etc.

    Nyon Retrofit

I unsuccessfully tried to get around the error code. Wondering why you don't want the Nyon controller? The Nyon controller is easy to hook up. Works like the Intuvia controller but with added functions to take advantage of the Nyon's capabilities.

    Nyon Retrofit

Actually I got an error code from the Nyon when I first hooked it up and used the Intuvia controller. Made some inquiries and found that you have to use the Nyon specific controller. It seems that member dbhelix says it will work, not sure if he is right. Had the Nyon for about half a year and...

    Assembly question

Coming from no experience with bikes since I was 20 years old (52 years ago!) I have put together 3 bikes (one for myself, 2 for friends). Yes, one can assemble the few pieces that need to be installed, without much difficulty. The hard part comes from fine tuning all the parts, and also...

Bosch Kiox Electric Bike Display Details

Am I right to assume that this will be available in the US, along with the applicable apps, unlike the Nyon? It seems really weak on Bosch's part to have restricted the Nyon's availability in the US. That being said this looks like a nice upgrade from the Intuvia, which by now seems somewhat...

Haibike sizes are strange, mine too! Help me decide wisely...

I am 6'7". I ride a FullSeven that is L, labeled 55cm on the seat post tube. Inseam around 35". I think thew bike fits me well. At stops I can stay on the seat if I am on my tippy toes. I made sure the handlebar stem were at their highest setting, as well as making sure that the seat post itself...

Help with first E Bike please.... Hi from the Okanagan, BC

If you require a step thru then I do not believe there is a fat tire version. As far as other ergonomics you'll have to sit on a bike, test ride one, and make your own personal choice. Spending as much on a bike warrants a bit more effort to find the right one! Perhaps a trip to a big city where...

Help with first E Bike please.... Hi from the Okanagan, BC

On gravel like alongside the rr tracks I think you should look at fat tire (4" wide) bikes that can handle the surface better. And the fat tire will be fine on road surfaces, offering some shock absorption due to thier large volume of air. If you have a bike shop to go to I suggest you do a side...

Bosch battery not charging to 100%

On my Bosch Performance Class 3 Haibike I notice now that after charging the percentage indicator on the Nyon controller indicate only 95% (occasionally 98% or even 100%). Previously it always charged to 100%. I can plug the charger back in and it will go to 100%. Perhaps there is a fault with...

    Custom Wood Fenders

Alaskan, the pic of your bike not showing up. Went to Woody's site, beautiful fenders! And an interesting choice of wood, rather then the obvious choices of metal or plastics. I am curious how he builds these, and able to sell at that price!

    Haibike Flyon......2019

I see what you are talking about. I'll reserve judgement until I see the bike in person. Haibike has had mostly good designs on their offerings. But the specs on the motor and battery sure sound good!

    Nyon Retrofit

The $100 "used" Nyons on eBay from the San Francisco seller are, as far as I can tell, are new, but without packaging. They still have the protective film on the face, and at least mine, and Alaskans, had no sign of use or any defects. The controllers can be ordered from Germany for around $80...

    Nyon Retrofit

The general consensus is as you state to keep the charge between 40% and 90%. I don't have any real knowledge of Iithium batteries as you do. But for me the convenience of just letting the charger fill up my battery outweighs a potentially shorter life span. I also need 100% sometimes to cover...
