If indeed not charging to 100% adds extended life to the battery I am fine with that. BTW, my experiences are quite similar to BertV's post above. In the end it would be nice if Bosch made some effort to explain this.

Turned on my Nyon for todays ride, fired up the eBikeConnect app on my iPhone and lo and behold there was an updated version, loaded off the AppStore. So finally the app is available, and I presume supported, in the US!

JRA, good idea, but I am concerned as to which two terminals to connect to. Don't want to be shorting out the battery!

Was surprised to see this thread active again. I never found an answer to this, and the issue continues. Nothgiel, I was considering swapping out my charger but you wrote that it made no difference so i won't go to the trouble of finding a new charger. I guess I'll just have to live with it...

Whoa! 40.4 mph! That is moving fast. Very impressive! The bike paths look so nice! So. Cal is so far behind in their infrastructure for bikes, but it does seem to be on the city's agenda, but so slow to implement.

Richard, I imagined myself in your situation and i would probably would have swung around to the drivers side like you mentioned above. Also this situation is why I run two pulsing L&M lights on the front.

Actually never thought about uneven wear. I usually just use the measurement tool on the chain.

On my Bosch Performance S I'm on my third chain using the KMC 10e for awhile now and only get around 1500 or so per chain before they stretch out and get noisier. The KMC does come with a quick link. When I purchased the bike it came with a Shimano chain that lasted about the same as the KMC...
