    New Purion controller

EddieJ, Thanks for your offer on the Intuvia setup. I am in California but don't think it would be a big deal to ship it over. It is small and weighs close to nothing. Would a European system work here? I don't see why not, unlike the Nyon. What do you think? Would you be interested in the...

    New Purion controller

EddieJ, whatever your point was, you failed to address the most glaring problem of the Purion, and that is its unresponsive, zero tactile feedback, finicky response. After riding for a month there is still no positive way to hit the plus or minus buttons and get the change you wanted overtime...

    New Purion controller

Does the fitting require one to re-route cables to the motor? I ask as I see there are no easy disconnects at the Intuvia display. Any idea of the cost of an Intuvia? And what might a dealer charge? Thank you for your replies.

    New Purion controller

A friend recently received a 2017 Haibike Xduro and loves it, with one glaring exception. His bike was fitted with the newer Purion controller and the "+" and "-" controls do not offer any tactile sensation to confirm his selection. They are also finicky and don't always change the setting. Not...

Bosch Walk Assist in 2017 Models (Spoiler Alert: It's Crap)

Must concur. My friend recently rec'vd his 2017 Haibike and was looking forward to the walk feature to help him manage 2 sets of stairs to get to the street where he lives. Unless we're doing something wrong, it seemed pretty useless and almost indistinguishable power assist! But he does love...

    Bosch CX motor software upgrade

Any idea if this upgrade is specific for the CX motor or will it it also work on the Performance Line motor on my 2016 XDuro?

Known Issues & Problems with Haibike Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I have no idea if it is possible to enable the feature in previous year models. I was asking the question in my post. Anyone know if it can be done? Also, how and where do dealers hook up into the circuitry of our bikes to upgrade their software/firmware?

    .....

Is there a way to enable the walk on a 2016 Xduro? Would the dealers in the US be able to do it with their computer hookups?

Known Issues & Problems with Haibike Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I don't know if one could classify this as a problem per se, but the fact that the "walk" feature on the Bosch system on my Haibike is non-functional. I believe it was due to US regulations of some sort. But to have the button there and not be able to take advantage of a very handy feature is...

Another complete noob, looking for some advice

From my limited knowledge it sounds like a fat tire might be good for you. Finding used eBikes, let alone a fat tire model, will be difficult to find. And keep in mind that a battery for a Bosch or Yamaha system will cost around 700-800$$, and a used bike might have used many of the 700 or so...

    Walking your bike

Just a thought..... Until you get it sorted out you might try softly applying the brakes to keep it from going too fast. On the Bosch system there is a walk feature but it seems to be unimplemented in the USA, at least on some eBikes. Shame really!

Installing a front light on the Bosch system

I believe if you do a search you'll find a video showing where to plug in a connector to the Bosch motor for your lights, and will be controlled by the Intuvia light button. I have looked at it but don't recall exactly where I saw it. It does require to remove the left crank and housing cover...

How does the walk assist function? Do you hold down the button? Maybe it is outlined in the manual. My friend might wind up with a 2017 Xduro Fat Six so maybe it'll work for him. Thank you for your reply.

I have the Xduro Bosch system. There is a "walk" button on the small control unit next to the left grip. Non-functional I am afraid to say. I hope we can get it activated.. As I mentioned earlier my friend is getting a Xduro Fat Tire and has a bunch of steps to get into his place. He is going...

Jay See, are you in the US? (I see you are in Switzerland) I read that it was disabled for the US market. It'd be great if it did work as I have an older friend who has a lot of stairs to get his 2016 Haibike fat six in and out of his place. If anyone has any knowledge of how to get it...

Nyon Upgrade in USA worked out of the box!

How does this compare with the Cobi system? Price wise similar, actually Cobi a little less, and with the Cobi you get lights, including a motion sensing brake light. Also it is available in the states. Anybody using the Cobi here and care to give us some updates?

Hi folks. Is this where I can get advice about my Haibike?

I see that you have a Yamaha motor. I have heard that the Bosch and the Yamaha handle their output quite differently, especially in relation to your input. Good luck sorting it all out.

Anyone have a 1-page guide to decipher Haibike names ?

Regarding the direction of eBikes going forward is that in Europe there is a lot of interest going towards the elimination of the chain to a belt! This is from a knowledgeable source. But I haven't heard much about it. Also wondering if they went to belts what happens to the derailleurs?

Hi folks. Is this where I can get advice about my Haibike?

Hi, I am relatively new to eBikes, having purchased my Haibike about a month ago and thoroughly enjoying it. I did a lot of research online before the purchase and came to the conclusion that there were very, very few issues with at least the Bosch system. Is this what you have? I have noticed...
