    Error 13

Thanks for the tip. I cleaned the contacts and then did the battery contacts reseat as you described, but had the same issue again today whilst riding home for work. Next move is to get in touch with the bike shop.

    Error 13

I've recently been getting an error 13, which initially it would happen about 5 minutes after replacing the battery after charging it up. The power would cut and and the screen would fade so that the 13 was barely visible. Removing and replacing the battery or giving it a bit of a wiggle seemed...

    Evo 29er rear wheel spokes

Yep. the Wellgos are now Well-gone. Got some nice new Shimano platform pedals which are a fair bit larger and are much nicer to use than the factory ones

    Evo 29er rear wheel spokes

Now the bearings have crapped out in one of the pedals.... This has to be the most troublesome bike I've ever owned. It's not like it gets a hold time either, I only use it for commuting around town. About 7km each way

    Evo 29er rear wheel spokes

I tried emailing BH directly about a week ago. Still no reply. But from what I've read on other posts I'm not really expecting that they will reply. Why bother having a contact email address on their website if they never respond... In the last week the bike has now started to lose power whilst...

    Evo 29er rear wheel spokes

I've had no joy getting hold of replacement 13g spokes for the 29er. I've emailed Electric cyclery three time now though their web site and I've also emailed other shops but it would seem that us in NZ are not worthy of a response. The chain that I got the bike from also didn't manage to track...

    Evo 29er rear wheel spokes

I've emailed Electric cyclery twice now through their website and not had a response. I've just had another spoke break and the company I bought the bike from still doesn't have any spare spokes so they have replaced it with a 14g and washers. If another one goes I think I might just get the...

    Evo 29er rear wheel spokes

thanks for the replies. I've emailed EC a couple of days ago to ask if they ship to NZ, still waiting to hear back. I 've also found a business in the UK that have 13g Sapims or DTswiss and will provide them cut to any length. I just need to know how long they need to be. I tried to measure on...

    Repair kit

A normal toolkit should be fine. It might be worth carrying some small cable ties (or use skinny velcro strips) incase you lose those plastic clips that hold the rear wheel motor cable in place. They're very easy to lose if you ever have to remove the rear wheel.

    Evo 29er rear wheel spokes

Does anyone know the specs for the spokes and nipples for the rear wheel on the Evo 29er. I've had one break recently and the shop I got the bike from didn't have any in stock and were unable to find an exact match here in NZ, so they have replaced it with a 14g spoke with a washer instead of a...

Easy Motion Street: System Power Cuts Out

My Evo 29er has the issue with one of the contacts not springing back out as quick as the others. Originally two of the contacts behaved in this manner but after a bit of manipulation one of them came right but the other one still takes about 30-40 seconds to return to its original position...

Easy Motion Street: System Power Cuts Out

My bike shop decided to replace my Evo 29er with a new bike which I picked up yesterday. Unbelievably it seems to be having the same issues described here in an earlier post. It momentarily loses power when pressing the '+' button whilst riding, it then boots up again quite soon after but comes...

Easy Motion Street: System Power Cuts Out

had a similar issue happen to my Evo 29er after just three months and about 800km of use. So far it has been back to the shop and supposedly repaired 3 times, with them having the bike for about a week to a week and a half each time. It's now back with them again and they have made some noises...

Evo Street 2016 Throttle whil in power assist.

I think the 6kph throttle you are referring to is the walk assist function that you activate by keeping the "+" button on the controller pressed down for as long as you want it to go.

    Evo 29'er, My New Bike

I often pedal my 29er in no assist mode. Only on the flat though, it's a bit heavy to be going up a hill with any decent amount of elevation. I find it takes a bit of effort to get it going due to the weight but once it's up an running it rides really well and is similar to a non electric bike...

    Friction Free Generator Lights

here's a link to another type of frictionless dynamo light that also came through kick starter and is now an up and running full blown product. I haven't tried them myself but they seem to be pretty smart. I might treat myself sometime but unfortuantely they will have to go to the bottom of...
