    Grin satiator

I did the same thing 2 weeks ago. Ebay is a good deal on this when they have coupons. It gets pretty hot & I've just been using the stock 85% preset so far on my CCX which is enough to last the 16 miles one way with 2 bars left. Going by the stats after using it for 4 days (8 charges) it seems...

    First Ride on CCX

Have not noticed any difference with driver behavior with the stock light vs the Light & Motion Urban 800. I just don't care for the uneven beam pattern. But I've been thinking about how easy/difficult it would be to swap the stock light for the German beam cutoff ones. Anyone try?

Chain Keeper on the CCX can it be sold separately?

I don't think I have this on my CCX. Maybe it's something you have to install yourself? I'll have to check the box of stuff that came with the bike after vacation. A narrow wide chainring pretty much solved all my chain drop issues on the original CC. The only situation where it dropped was...

Some CCX vs Old CC Observations

The power button is on the bottom. Assuming the rack is custom they should've designed it so the light sticks out more. I can't reach the nut for the fender to adjust it the way it is. I think this has been mentioned already before & I'll probably rework it at some point.

Some CCX vs Old CC Observations

Honestly it doesn't feel drastically more powerful to me, but there is a boost. Feels like I can spin out the high gear.much easier. 1st commute today & I'd say 2-4mph faster with similar effort & 7mph headwind. Maybe tim eto move to that MAC motor. The display does reach those numbers when in...

Some CCX vs Old CC Observations

This medium CCX does feel a tad smaller then the medium 2016 CC in one ride so far. Nice to have main powered light again. If only the rear were too since freezing temps kill their runtimes too. Box had some ripped & one corner torn open 1/4, but the bike seems fine. Except for this had to...

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

My order for CCX was on the 22nd, shipped 27th, & scheduled to arrive 12/3. Coincidentally the motor on my 2016 CC seems to have finally broken down yesterday 12/1. Motor isn't consistently engaging & there are crunching noises when it doesn't. First motor lasted 5000 miles & this warranty...

Does rain/moisture affect the torque sensor?

I haven't notice any unusual behavior due to this part & I right through all four seasons in all weather. Power cutoffs I have only noticed when the battery connections momentarily break from vibration. I would check smallest cog on cassette is clean, spacing to sensor is alright, & then check...

Original Crosscurrent to CCS/CCX Medium Equals Large?

Just pressed the order button for a medium black using the 0% loan for 6 months (12 months adds interest). Thinking of how to set things up. Will probably swap over current marathon tires & sell the stock ones. Swap the BB if possible since I replaced the current one with a Shimano not too long...

Original Crosscurrent to CCS/CCX Medium Equals Large?

I have an original 2016 Cross Current & going by seat tube, standover height, & horizontal top tube length; my medium CC is more equal to the large CCS/CCX. Can anyone who has done the upgrade confirm this? I'm 5'7", but the my MED CC fits well, but small in CCS/CCX is recommended for my height.

    Black friday deals

A big hurdle is spending $2200 all at once, but I just realize there is a 0% finance option at $194/month so it's very tempting.

    Black friday deals

I would love to upgrade to a CCX because the assist on my CC feel anemic after 10 miles, over 80% battery drain on 12.8ah at 16miles, & winter headwinds make maintaining low 20's a workout even in sport mode. Plus I've probably put over $1200 into it over 2 years/18260 miles of ownership. I'm...

    Chain

I didn't realize some chains wouldn't work. I use low mid tier KMC chains. The chainguard still fits with the thicker chainring on my CC, but maybe the CCS is different?

    Chain

I still had chain drops on my 1st gen CC even with a shorter chain. What fixed this is getting a narrow wide chainring. The teeth are shaped so the chain only fits a specific way & the their profile keeps the chain from flopping from side to side. Look for "DECKAS Single Speed Chainring 130BCD...

R.I.P. RipCurrent S? Pulse/Stutter when pedaling, ~50 miles brand new. Please help.

Check your battery connections & then maybe tape it down to the frame just to rule out temporary power loss from a bad connection.

NEW Juiced Models: Rip Current, and Cross Current X; Tariff Pricing Announced

For me with my gen 1 CC 24mph is level 3 with a good effort in ideal conditions. I'd love to upgrade to a CCS controller, but I'd need the higher capacity battery to go along with it. Only have the LED display & 12.8 battery; going by the bars I used 60% on calm days, 80% in headwind days, &...

Report of my first 4000 miles on a CCS (also my first 5 months of owning it)

I let the shop choose & he went with a Cliffhanger rim by Velocity. http://store.velocityusa.com/p/cliffhanger-27-5/rims_tandem?pp=12 I did have 3 spokes break at the nipple on this rebuild (lacing pattern mechanic chose puts them at a hard angle at the rim), but the last one was about 2 months...

Report of my first 4000 miles on a CCS (also my first 5 months of owning it)

I weigh around 195 & ride in sport probably 70% & 3 30%. Alot of the time I do ride hard in those modes & the streets here are a mess in some areas. Rim was developing cracks at the spoke holes. I pretty much rode it to the point that several spots were bulging & one pulled out with a little...

Report of my first 4000 miles on a CCS (also my first 5 months of owning it)

I'm over 10k on a replacement wheel received 3/30/17 which was then rebuilt this April with a new rim/spokes. Hoping I can get at least another year out of it because the rebuild cost $250. The freehub is worn a bit evident from the brown crap flowing out after spraying WD40 in it, but it's...
