It is an Abus Bordo also branded as a Bontrager Elite. I rarely use it, and fortunately we live in a pretty low risk area.

I went out for a ride on Boxing Day and limited it to 5 km after one fall. I have snow tires on, but icy ruts defeat anything! I love my new eWool vest though. It was expensive, but oh, so comfortable!

We went from having a green Christmas Eve to a foot of snow on Christmas Day here on the Ontario shore of Lake Huron. Some pictures from my Boxing Day ride... a fairly brief one as some of the roads were icy.

I can say from my own experience, Trek has been a great supporter of my bike and related Trek/Bontrager parts. I have no complaints whatsoever. That’s with 5600 km on my bike.

No I don’t. I don’t plan to ride if it gets icy.

Still a learning experience. Schwalbe all season/snow tires are working well, although I wish I could have found a wider set. Need to be very careful in ruts or single track trails, as they will always attempt to do your steering for you if you get off center.

Had Thanksgiving by ourselves here in Canada, mid October.

We don’t have pets any more... used to have a couple of labs that were dear family members, but gone for a few years now. On the other hand, that allows me to better feed wildlife, and we get a good variety of them in our backyard. These days, deer and wild turkeys are visiting daily.

Haven’t been able to ride for a couple of days with high winds and snow. Calm and sunnier today.
