Rick, thanks for commenting. And from a spot adjacent to the Bay of Fundy up in Nova Scotia, too! That tells me your bike is seeing some challenging conditions. I had previously watched Court's reviews of the Stunners; it was helpful to hear from an owner who's made serious use of them, too...

Michelll, I'd start by physically (not electrically) jury rigging the spare battery in each place (under top tube and on the rear rack) temporarily, then judge for yourself how the bike's handling is affected with each position.
