Hitch or trunk rack, and weight limits

You've been waffling for awhile. Determine your absolute/final budget you're willing to pay for a hitch & rack, and purchase within that budget, or just forget the whole thing and don't spend anything.

Hitch or trunk rack, and weight limits

I'm all about convenience. And rolling under my car is not something I want to ever do. I'm more than happy to pay for service -- at the price I got it was well worth it!

Hitch or trunk rack, and weight limits

$261 to install a hitch or does that include the hitch? I paid $45 at a local place down the street to do the install. The hitch itself, which I purchased online, was $112. The 1up rack I just slid in and tightened the bolt myself, took 30 seconds, max.

I ordered their own lock. I think they just aren't very good at connecting the dots, so to speak, in their marketing of items and updating verbiage. The text in the warranty section might have been written before they ever had a lock for the hitch, because they didn't have it when I purchased...

Carbon handlebars, soften impact on hand/wrists?

I wear fingerless cycling gloves with that integrated elastomer gel on the palms. I purchased mine at a local store (Specialized brand). It definitely helps.

Whoa! NOTICE: 1up USA.com LLC is no longer replacing stolen racks due to the steep increase in theft. We recommend using a short cable lock or U-lock to secure your investment to your vehicle’s receiver. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

Hitch or trunk rack, and weight limits

No need to padlock through the hole as the hole is taken up by a piece that helps keep the rack coupled and secure with the hitch. Go to their site, they have video that show their rack in detail. I don't think anyone will mess with it; if they do, they won't get very far without the special...

Hitch or trunk rack, and weight limits

The 1Up rack is guaranteed against theft. They will replace the rack free of charge, that's how confident they are in their locking solution.

Hitch or trunk rack, and weight limits

I leave my rack on the car at all times, even though it's easy to remove. It's got a low profile, doesn't take up much room, folds up nicely. No reason for me to remove it, as it doesn't get in the way of anything.

Yes I believe a 1Up rack is well able to hold a Stromer. I advise taking out the battery to lower the overall weight of the bike. 1Up also makes a heavy duty rack (2 bike capacity) that will hold 2, 60 lb bikes. I don't have that model as I didn't feel I needed it. And I didn't.

I purchased a CURT 1.25" hitch for my Prius. It weighs just under 25 lbs. Then for a bike rack I purchased the 1Up Quik, which holds 50 lbs. My bike without battery is 51 lbs. Close enough. Works very well.

So... It wasn't a scam. You got your bike. The bike works. You actually had fun riding it.

Range might not be everything but it's a lot!

On average I ride 20 to 23 mi. on my ebike at one time. And I think I'm actually below the average of most cyclists. The stated range by my bike's manufacturer is minimum of 30mi to maximum of 60mi. I can get 30, maybe 32 if I'm careful. 60? No way. That's what I'd like, but that's just...

Questions about "Distance To Go" and "Ah" setting on new display unit

If anyone does, @Ravi Kempaiah would likely know who they were within the BH/Easy Motion company and maybe he'll ask on our behalf?

Questions about "Distance To Go" and "Ah" setting on new display unit

Easy Motion's top ah battery size is 11.6 at this time. That's the battery my Street uses (which is the same bike you have). My wish is for an accurate range estimate, right from the get-go, even if the battery is fully charged.

Range might not be everything but it's a lot!

Maybe not in one ride, but certainly conceivable to do 40 or 50 miles in one day. As it is now, one has to recharge the battery (which takes from 3 to 5 hrs, depending) to make a return trip the whole way -or- purchase a 2nd battery and have that along with you, fully charged. Either way, it's...

Questions about "Distance To Go" and "Ah" setting on new display unit

Note that in the graph above at no time does "mi to go" ever estimate a range higher than 20 mi. BH/Easy Motion claims the bike gets between 30mi and 60mi per charge, depending on lots of factors. The highest mi to go my bike ever showed on this new console was 19 mi, and that was after the...

That also begs the question, why is it shown in the User Guide for the console then?
