Just ordered an my first ebike. What accessories do I need?

I use the following extras on my ebike: - Loud bell/horn (I have an ORP horn and the separate "ReOrp" connected button). The ORP is also a bright LED light and it flashes various patterns, so that covers that need. - A flashing red LED light on the back of my bike, attached to the trunk bag...

    Recommendations Hitch Bike Rack

The only thing I wish my 1up USA rack had was a ramp. Lifting up my ebike is rather impossible. I lift the front end first and get that front tire in the tray then I sort of pivot the back and lift it up. It's a bit of a P.I.A. and a ramp would make life so much easier. I've looked and...

First really long ride of the season!

I need to find a saddle that will be wide enough but not interfere with the back of my thighs when pedaling. I don't want "too" cushy but just enough to support. And, since I have to jump off the saddle when I stop (because I'm short and not even my toes reach the ground), I need a saddle that...

    Is e-Biking Cheating?

Now that is irony at its finest! On the 22 mi bike ride I took the other day (that's a long ride for me), I actually used my ebike unpowered for about a mile. Total weight of bike including all the stuff I carry is 60 to 62 lbs. Someone who can cycle 25 or more miles and maintain speeds over...

First really long ride of the season!

I haven't before, but guess what? I will be doing several stretches from now on. In fact, I need to do a stretching routine every day, whether I ride that day or not. I also realized I need to get off the bike every 20 min and walk around and stretch some more.

    Recommendations Hitch Bike Rack

The Quik Rack looks very promising. The problem is the manufacturing has slowed to a crawl because of various things including the trade and tariffs issues (according to the owner of the product). You have to get yourself onto a waiting list just to be able to order. By my calculations, it...

First really long ride of the season!

Part of this is getting sit bones used to riding since I've been so slack about getting out there. And tight hamstrings add to the issue. When someone says they're not comfortable after several hours in the saddle, that seems normal to me. I'm in pain after 30 to 40 min. That's not normal, I...

First really long ride of the season!

I haven't ridden much at all. Yesterday I did a 22 mi loop. My butt and the upper back of one thigh close to my butt was hurting by mile 9 and by mile 16 I was really in major pain. I stopped, walked around (limped, actually) and managed to ride the few miles back to my car. Still sore today...

Recommendations for short, heavy senior woman

I'm female, about 5'0" (5'1 with shoes). I can heartily recommend the Easy Motion Evo Street, with it's step-thru design & 26" wheels. I purchased mine in 2015. The Evo Street now comes with a more powerful motor (now a 500w geared rear hub) and larger capacity battery (now a 36v 600wh) than...

    New Battery or New Bike?

Kalkhoff has that new Image ebike out that looks very enticing... I vote for something new; you deserve it!

money not an issue quality is

I'm happy with my current ebike (Easy Motion Evo Street 2015 model), though it would be nice to have the most upgraded model with the more powerful 500w hub motor and a couple 48v batteries. If $$$ were no object then a 2nd ebike with a mid drive motor would be fun just for something different...

Poll. Do you take your charger?

My Easy Motion Evo battery is 3 years old (although still has a low number of total cycles on it since I had a year of not riding at all). What I notice this cycling season is my battery drops from 100% charge down to about 93% within the first 3 to 4 minutes of riding. Then it's down to 90%...

Very poor recent purchasing experience for ST2S

So glad to hear of a good resolution! I bought my EM Evo Street from CrazyLenny back in 2015 and I love my bike.

Best lightweight ebike for less than 5 ft person

I'm just about 5 ft tall and I ride a 2015 Easy Motion Evo Street. It's a great size for me as it has 26" tires, low step through, and adjustable handlebar that requires no tools. It's my avatar picture. The cost is more than $1,500, though you might find an older model (2015 - 2017) for...

    Is e-Biking Cheating?

If there's no one in the car then, no. Unless you want to go to completely incognito and freak everyone out

    Is e-Biking Cheating?

It's not like our eBikes are out riding themselves. Now that would be cheating. Besides, cheating is when you are trying to win against someone else. Riding an eBike has nothing to do with anyone else and no one is out there racing against standard non eBikes, which would be "cheating." I...

    Easy Motion Street

Hi, I haven't been here on EBR for a long, long time. I don't have an Easy Go, I have the Evo Street 2015 model. The Easy Go models came out in 2016 I think. Cheers!

rode an easy motion evo eco today

A suspension seat post is needed on almost all ebikes, IMO. I put one on my EM EVO Street and yes, it made a difference in ride quality.
