Watt Wagons Ultimate Commuter 2 rides 175 miles now 1075 miles, more than 2 rides

The motor I had was grounding out when hot. I was only experiencing the issue in high gears under decent load. It felt like the pedals would just lose resistance and slip and you could hear it. I made a few videos to send to Pushkar and he agreed at first that it sounded like the hub slipping...

Watt Wagons Ultimate Commuter 2 rides 175 miles now 1075 miles, more than 2 rides

No, it's not running. Once I noticed the amount that was leaking I reached out to Pushkar and Kindernay. It had already been replaced once due to what felt like gear slippage, but the same thing happened with the replacement. I ended up sending the bike back to Pushkar and it was the motor and...

Watt Wagons Ultimate Commuter 2 rides 175 miles now 1075 miles, more than 2 rides

My hub is currently in Norway being looked at by Kindernay because of the leaking. I had an email from them this morning saying they were looking at it today and would let me know what they find. I'm hoping I hear something from them tomorrow due to the time difference. My leaking was...

Archon X1 Programming Thread (questions and experiences)

I was just looking at battery info on the WW website and read the following. I guess this means you'd set the amps to the continuous levels indicated below rather than the math I'd done previously in this thread where I simply took the percentage of the 2300 watt / 45 amp to equate to lower...

Crank Arm Options for the Hydra

Everyone is going to ride these things differently. I wanted a shorter crank arm due to some pedal strikes I was getting on a singletrack near my home when the suspension was flexing hard. If I was just riding a typical offroad trail or fire road, I wouldn't have cared. There are threads in here...

Crank Arm Options for the Hydra

They're also self-extracting so if you need to remove them it's super easy and doesn't require a special tool which is nice.

Crank Arm Options for the Hydra

I haven't been able to ride with them. My Kindernay was leaking and has been sent back to Norway so I'm waiting on it to get back so I can get my rear wheel out back together. But if it does impact it some, which I suspect it will, I can adjust the PAS in the settings which is the great thing...

Crank Arm Options for the Hydra

I can confirm the Hope crank arms in standard size fit. I have the 155's.

My Impression of the Luna Mighty Mini Display (Bafang 500C) on the Hydra

You can easily set your max speed via the throttle or PAS with the programming cable.

Archon X1 Programming Thread (questions and experiences)

Is there a way for us to drop our wattage with our programming cable? Or do we simply accomplish that by reducing the torque amps which mimics the same thing i.e. if you want level 1 to be 500 watts of power, you'd set the torque amps to about 10. For 750 watts 15, for 1000 watts 20, 1500 watts...

My Impression of the Luna Mighty Mini Display (Bafang 500C) on the Hydra

If you set your PAS levels to 9, couldn't you do the exact same thing? In the programming video that @pushkar made (see photo below), he uses the example of setting ECO mode torque to 15A which makes the motor act as if it's a 750 watt motor. In SPORT mode, he raises the torque amps to 45 to...

My Impression of the Luna Mighty Mini Display (Bafang 500C) on the Hydra

I’m a fan of this display. Other than the fact that the name Luna is on your display, are you aware of any differences between yours and the one eBike essentials sells? If I understand what you’ve written and based on a video I watched, it’s got up to 9 levels but one mode. With the Innotrace...

Archon X1 Programming Thread (questions and experiences)

So is a torque sensitivity of 5 less than a torque sensitivity of 0 or 1? If 10 is all cadence is 0 the most torque? Or are 1-5 torque settings that increase meaning they become more sensitive as you get to 5? And 6-10 cadence settings that increase to all cadence at 10?

Archon X1 Programming Thread (questions and experiences)

I'm still a little confused about some of what @pushkar says in this video. At about the 6:30 mark he begins discussing torque sensitivity and shows how in Eco mode level 1 is set at one, level 2 at two, etc. He goes on to say that at level 10 it's pure cadence sensing. If 10 is cadence only...

Kindernay vs Cassette. Advantages and disadvantages?

Please share what you’ve heard. It might help those of us who have one keep an eye out for something that may otherwise manifest itself too late. When I ordered my bike @pushkar was still offering the choice of the Kindernay or the Rohloff so did quite a bit of reading and research. Obviously...

    Throttle and Brake Cut-Off Wires

Didn't turn out to be that hard. I removed the metal piece that routes the cables from the frame and was able to tuck them all. Only ended up taking about 5 minutes. I cut the brake wires at the levers so they're gone. Ideally I could now move my dropper to the other side, but that looks to be...

    Throttle and Brake Cut-Off Wires

That's all great info. I removed my throttle earlier today and have disconnected the brake wires. Now I need to figure out how to get the wires back inside the frame as it appears to be very tight and the wire ends don't want to pull through the opening. The look is so much cleaner without all...

Kindernay vs Cassette. Advantages and disadvantages?

I wanted an IGH and a belt drive on a full suspension bike. Was likely going to buy the R&M, but the fact @pushkar has a belt drive solution coming really kind of closed the deal for me. The low maintenance aspect and future proofing the bike was my thinking. The Kindernay gear range is great...

    Throttle and Brake Cut-Off Wires

You should be riding up those stairs, not walking.😀 I don't feel instant pedal assist, I have to put a little leg in it before I feel it kick in. I don't often start in the lowest gears which might make a difference with that.
