    2021 Stromer ST1 versus ST3

No easy to say as it depends from your personal riding style. The model range starts with the entrance model ST1 and ends with the ST5 ABS . Not only the motor of the ST1 has "less" power, also the geometry is more conservative. The ST5 is more sporty, fits better for more "agressive" riders...

    Stromer ABS ??

Thanks for your observations regarding road motorcycles. This gives me the opportunity to explain the difference to the ST5 ABS commuter bicycle. A motorcycle has often three times the weight of its rider - and the center of gravity is clearly below the handlebar. In case of the Stromer, it's...

    Stromer ABS ??

Have a closer look on the two video. The blubrake video shows the intention of the ABS. I've added some slow motions which unveil: No hard braking was made. But the concept is visible. My own video shows, how it works when hard (or panic) braking occurs: Front wheel locks for a fraction of a...

    Just when I thought I was out………

I called it "Ivory Madonna" as I've presented it in August. At this price point, I would expect Brooks saddle and handle grips. But as mentioned, no animals were harmed -but a comfy riding position is for sure.

    Recommendations for refurbishing a 2014 stromer st2

In Europe, all 26" series came with flexible carbon fork, except the ST1x and the V1. This is an illusion. The triangle between saddle, handlebar and shoulders remains exactly the same. But adding more cm below the head tube (suspension fork or bigger wheel) will lead to a more indirect...

    Recommendations for refurbishing a 2014 stromer st2

Did you know the the whole Stromer fleet made more than 200'000'000 kilometers - and all based on the groundbreaking ST2 presented in 2014 and its successors? If you plan to ride in a upright position, a suspension fork will not have priority. All your weight will be on the saddle, so you need...

New Stromer ST3 with Pinion C1.9 and Gates carbon belt

From a consumer's point of view, this might be acceptable. The riders input can be measured at the crank, on the motors axle or at rear dropout. The last option gives the best results, therefore Stromer and other professional commuter bikes using this configuration. A Stromer dealer has to know...

New Stromer ST3 with Pinion C1.9 and Gates carbon belt

Based on what do you came to this remarkable conclusion? That's true, the ST2 is the "all easy" Stromer, the convertible with the product range.

New Stromer ST3 with Pinion C1.9 and Gates carbon belt

This paper analysis lacks on the riding experience. He is salesman from a LBS, I can forgive him mentioning a "Sensor im Tretlager". The sensor on a Stromer is always at the rear end. But he missed the most important thing an a Stromer: The cadence at 45km/h. The 26" had 76, all 27½" have 71½ -...

The all new Stromer ST5 ABS

I don't know if you understood well what he said. The point is, I observed exactly the opposite (as shown above). I had a longer talk with people from blubrake. They already updated the technical parts, now they are more integrated and somewhat smaller. The functionality remains the same, a...

New Stromer ST3 with Pinion C1.9 and Gates carbon belt

You may have seen, meanwhile I've published the overall gearing of the ST3 Pinion. With this in mind, I'm curious about your impression of the 8th and 9th gear (and of course how you managed shifting on uphill).

    Stromer ST2, R&M, specialized Como

For sure, the ST2 would give you the Stromer smile. It seems, you will not commute but do leisure rides. The ST2 hat shorter gearing than the other Stromer, but a broad variety of stem / handlebar combinations are available. But for your purpose, gravel roads and upright position, it's not the...

New Stromer ST3 with Pinion C1.9 and Gates carbon belt

I understand this very well - my dealer said, when he pass the grocery store on his way home and the beer is on sale, he can't buy the large pack... A few inforced or replaced the Racktime on their own; the most which carry real payload have mounted the trailer plate.

No, the Di2 is the real sports car, while the Pinion is the limousine. Check the swiss stromerforum.ch for more.

New Stromer ST3 with Pinion C1.9 and Gates carbon belt

It seems, the final settings ain't yet made. I hope, the maximum deconvolution (Entfaltung) will be around 10m. In fact, the gearbox looks very reliable (not plastic cog wheels!)

New huge battery and Concept Bike 2022

You recognized Jim Kerr? This is not by happenstance. I didn't use an external microphone, so the sound recording was terrible. I've chosen this title as it is a brain teaser in respect of the presented Stromer. I expect, the most of the (potential) customers remember the time when clubs were...

New huge battery and Concept Bike 2022

The new ST2 with Gates was the first step presented in 2019. But read my comments from 2017 about Gates and Pinion. You arware, I'm not allowed to show pictures and I'm also not allowed to write about details. But I can present a short video from the laser show which was introducing the Concept...

    ST5 moving by itself

Usually, such things might happen after some manipulations in the area of the rear axle. A smooth baseline shift is also common, e.g due to temperature differences. Before you change anything, check the voltage values from the sensor. Active value should be slightly above base value.
