    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

Thanks for the info on the chain catcher, youth! I contacted Juiced and they got back immediately: (shamone (Juiced Bikes) Dec 18, 10:24 AM PST)-> "Hello John, I will go ahead and get an order created for that part to be sent out to you." I am pleased with the email response time from Juiced...

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

I had not noticed any advertisement listing or showing the "chainkeeper" as a component sold with the CCX. Can you put up a link to the ad copy?

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

I have not experienced chain-drop as an issue, and don't expect there will be any issue. This bike shifts smoothly and reliably.

Perhaps the tire should be replaced under warranty. Although broken spokes and the damaged tire may have been caused by riding your bike down those 15 steps;).

Could be a long wait before the "Pluses" need replacing, they are wear rated for 3700 to 7400 miles.

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

I was very pleased to get the CCX in brushed aluminum, it was a deal-maker for me. My last ebike, the EG Zurich had the same long lasting finish. Yes, there is no chain-keeper on my CCX.

My second ride on the CCX

The rubber compound used for Marathon plus is a tougher long wearing formulation. A long wearing tire tends to be less supple, contributes to less contact with a roadway surface. Lower tire pressures can benefit better traction and handling. Directional arrows show which way the tire should be...

My second ride on the CCX

The Marathon plus tires seemed just fine on wet roadway. While I haven't ridden on the tires far enough to wear-off the "vent spew" rubber, the bikes handling was very predictable and intuitive. Understanding that the tread on most tires require "directional mounting", I wonder if a handling...

My second ride on the CCX

Today I did another chilly ride on damp pavement. I kept the assist in mostly ECO and level 1. And a clarification is in order on the power levels. There are seven levels of assist: 0 (thumb throttle, speed monitoring, and battery matrix readout) ; ECO (all the aspects of pedal and cadence...

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

Yes! I remember one of the ebike companies offering the brushed alum finish option for +$100... The CCX looks great in brushed Aluminum.

Some thoughts on the value of Fenders: Although fenders are a struggle to adjust. Installed and adjusted correctly they are extremely beneficial. Fenders are a big help for the rider to stay cleaner and perhaps more importantly they help the bike stay cleaner. Even when it seldom rains, one will...

My second ride on the CCX

It was cold and windy but thrilling today on the second spin on my CCX. I've learned there is a considerable difference between a cadence sensing class 1 ebike (like my old EG Zurich), and the class 3 cadence and torque sensing assistance of the CCX. The cadence only ebike did not have the...

Thinking strongly about ordering the CCX

-Bottom line here is: "The guy riding the bike is still responsible for its safe operation." I remember well the day I reached a screaming 45+ mph down hill speed on a country road in South Bristol, NY. That speed was all about gravity and momentum, with my 230+ pound physique on a 30 pound...

Some CCX vs Old CC Observations

Great comparative assessment, Y! I too, spent some time strong arming the rack on my CCX. Must be a squaring-up issue with the manufacturers welding jig. I hope Tora and the Juiced assembly crew are conveying this issue to the manufacturing plant. Initially, it was necessary to remove the rear...

    My new ebike arrived today

I am reasonably happy to have discovered the cracks on the EG Zurich. I had been trying to sell the bike since February. As the year progressed, I had to reset the sale price so low that it became clear for me just to upgrade the Zurich bike with newer components. It was after I made the...

Almost a year and about 2k (?) miles with the CCS. A quick visit to update:

Great write-up on a positive perspective! I thought I'd chime in with an observation about easy ways for tracking bike miles... I use an inexpensive Garmin device. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/cIntoSports-cCycling-p1.html The Garmin 200 I use with all my bikes is no longer being manufactured...
