Where to buy a Nyon display, today?

For the curious: I put my old Intuvia controller on the same mount and the everything works fine, so it really is just the Nyon. I also disassembled the Nyon and found virtually zero signs of any water ingress, except for one tiny spot around the connector for the home/joystick button. I cleaned...

Where to buy a Nyon display, today?

The Nyon I had on my R&M Delite died after my first ride in a heavy rain storm. I am pretty disappointed there. But, I just want to replace it at this point, however I can't find anyone selling one that claims to have one in stock. The last one I bought was from eBay, though they don't have any...

    Roof

The right gust of wind will turn that “roof” into a sail. Should be fun.

Who's the oldest and youngest rider here?

The younger generation sees it, but the vast majority are just nowhere even remotely close to being able to afford ebikes. For most, simply paying for food & rent exceeds 100% of their total income.

Who's the oldest and youngest rider here?

The only people I know that can afford ebikes (aside from myself) are older people. My guess is this is the biggest factor behind the age distribution.

Who's the oldest and youngest rider here?

I can’t believe this but so far I’m the youngest on the thread at 36. Been biking since I was 4 and ebiking for only about a year!

Never. Not only that, they’re taking steps to make it harder for third party tuners to remove the limit, too.

Known Issues & Problems with Riese & Müller Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I totally share your sentiment! I think it's going to get even worse though: as time goes on, expect more and more businesses to create inexplicable grief like this for their customers, as the global trend of prioritizing customer service below everything else continues. Not just in the bike...

    Bosch Battery Full?

I don’t think you read what I wrote carefully enough. I said that the display showed a 100% charge in this instance. Like, this is one of the rare times my battery got charged to 100%. 4.19v charge = 100% on Nyon display.

    Bosch Battery Full?

We now know the cut-off voltage. Please tell me what's changed because of this new knowledge? Genuinely curious.

Speed & Cadence sensor for Delite

Thanks for bumping this thread, I should share that I followed David's advise and went with the separate Wahoo RPM cadence and speed sensors. Have had exactly 0 problems with them. Much easier to install than the pedal/spoke mounted models.

    Bosch Battery Full?

Well, now we do know the cutoff voltage, at least for this set of variables: 1. Powerpack 500 2. Charged off bike, using Bosch 4A charger 3. Bike reported charge as 100% this time, only ever seen that once before, but this is good for our purposes. As you can see from the image, the highest...

    Bosch Battery Full?

Yes, I quite agree with you, but you missed my point. Earlier you seemed to care quite a lot about what the Bosch charger cutoff voltage was. In the very video you linked, he quoted 4.2v per cell as the Bosch charger cutoff. Isn’t this value sufficient to answer your question? Had you just not...

    Bosch Battery Full?

Came back to my desk to check on the battery and saw your reply- thanks for the video, I didn’t know about the 5v unlock signal! There is still some magic remaining, though (a term I use to mean a phenomenon that is known to exist but for which details are unknown, to me at least), because...

    Bosch Battery Full?

Ravi, because you have shown us how passionately you believe in the value of knowing the cutoff voltage, despite my attempts to explain why knowing that value will have zero practical impact on charging and operating a Bosch bike, I have set out to determine it for you. I appreciate your passion...

    Bosch Battery Full?

Here’s some more detail for you: Charging Bosch batteries isn’t as simple as applying a constant-current charge voltage and letting the batteries soak up the coulombs. The battery charger first sends a digital signal to the battery to tell it to connect the cells to the external connector (this...
