Hang bike by front or rear wheel - any issues?

I hang all of mine from the front wheel. About two and half years. No issue this far. I do see some flex in the long travel shock when I hang it...but no more than when I put weight on it and apply braking. If the rim is damaged from the weight of the bike you needed a better rim anyway. I...

Volt Bike Mariner 2016: So far so happy! Observations as they happen.

The power delivery you are searching for comes from a torque sensor not a cadence sensor. Ride a Specialized Turbo or a Stromer and see if this feel is what you are after. There are others but these two IMO are the smoothest and feel like they match your pedal effort.

mini battery holder broken at the bottom

@vincent any chance the female poles on the battery are shifted to one side? When I blow up the picture of the male end it looks like one side on one of the poles is worn. The battery probably has two sides like a close pin...the pole should slide between the sides on the battery. Just a...

    Kalkhoff vs Pedego

I don't think I would consider the Kalkhoff an upgrade. The frame has more flex, it doesn't have the torque, and it doesn't maintain top speeds as easily. The one advantage I felt was the internally geared hub. Make sure you take one on an extended ride before you sell the ST1. If you are...

    Bulls Outlaw E45 Green Mover

Here is a night video showing how the mounts for the light and camera perform. I got a little bit of vibration on the gravel and the sound of the motor resonates through the frame. I made two four mile loops with a little commentary after each loop. The first loop is around 15 mph and the...

    Bulls Outlaw E45 Green Mover

@Shoestring you are just a little early. I have another 120 miles to go and I will post a 1000 mile update. The Bulls Outlaw is my go to bike these days. The Stromer ST1 is taking a break :D. I finally found a solution for mounting my Cree light and my Virb camera.

Mongoose Full suspension Mt. Bike with custom made talll handle bars and 48v 1000w DIY kit

The axle probably has high carbon content and will crack with stress. Normally to consider a material of 'weldable quality' carbon content needs to be < .35%. IMO tacking the axle will not solve your issue. Cheers!

Why Electric Bikes Shouldn't Be Allowed on Mountain Biking Trails?

Part of the problem lies with Strava. The inability of setting your default ride to 'Ebike Ride' causes some of these errors. Before saving your ride in Strava you have to change the drop down. If you save before the change to 'Ebike ride' you will get thrown into the KOM rankings. I have...

As I posted above... Go with solid tires. Flats mitigated. Second best go with a DOT rated Moped tire. Thoughts??

    Road Rash Hurts LOL

I had one of those wonderful experiences about a month ago...came into my driveway and the gravel let my front tire escape. Rubbed the skin off my forehead nose and cheek. It also destroyed my glasses. I have a new respect for the gravel on my driveway.
