    Integrated Specialized Fender and Light

The ones pictured are the old Turbo rack & fender kit. I too have a couple of Ortlieb bags.

    Speedwobble

Since getting a set of Ortlieb panniers I am very pleased to say that the wobble has disappeared. Previously I had a backpack strapped to the rear rack and it seems that the weight on the rack up high must have created an instability. Very happy with the Orlieb bags. Also happy that I can run...

Wish your Turbo S had front suspension?

@jamesthewright it is a geared rear hub so a little bit of noise, not too intrusive though. Not nearly as sophisticated in drive train as the turbo but nice at half the price. And unlike my base turbo it doesn't have shitty formula brakes.

Wish your Turbo S had front suspension?

Thanks @OldGuy that does sound like a good option. In some ways, back to the future. Springy stems have been around since before suspension forks. I'll follow your progress if you keep this thread updated with your experiences.

Wish your Turbo S had front suspension?

Hmm interesting. Presumably you considered putting an aftermarket suspension fork on? I've just completed a test on the Juiced Crosscurrent https://electricbikesnz.com/2016/12/17/juiced-crosscurrent-the-bike-that-changed-it-all/ and I really enjoyed that bit of front suspension. The turbo felt...

"Efficiency" of Brose mid-drive vs hub

There will be an electrical engineering explanation to it probably related to current, reverse flux blah blah. Bottom line is that direct drive hub motors eat battery in comparison to mid drive motors.

    Brake pad life

My life was about the same. Currently using Koolstop organic pads which I also prefer to the original Formula semi-metallic pads.

Why don't you just try the bike and see if it meets your needs? The published specs on ebikes seldom help.

    The new turbo Vado 2017

What I do know is that the Brose motor is hugely torquey in the Levo format (90Nm - around twice that of the 200/250W GoSwiss motors), and with appropriate final drive ratio and gearing will end up being quite quick. I also value the better fore-aft balance that mid-drive gives. I was given the...

    Broken spokes

After 3 broken spokes and some tweaking by the LBS my wheel seems to be OK for the last month. Have done another 1000km or so since. Running rear tyre pressure at 55-60psi.

    Bad Experience Changing Out Rotor

I replaced pads to Koolstop (with red fins!) as recommended by @Douglas Ruby and I have to say I have no complaints now. I'd still prefer something with contact adjustment but they are quiet and powerful. When I have 30,000km on the bike and my rotors are worn I'll think about a change :-)

Safe to climb big hills on a Turbo?

We might bleat and whinge a bit on these forums because we can and we care, but essentially it's a quality piece of kit that isn't going to die before it's time.

    Turbo review

@Douglas Ruby I have finally gotten around to installing the Koolstop pads. I was surprised to see that my elCheapo Brand X pads were still good after 1500km. But the Koolstops are much much quieter.

    2015 Turbo X, Maximum Speed?

Nice cycleway. I love that sense of speed, find it quite addictive.

Specialized have a policy of getting grumpy with dealers who ship outside their area, encouraging you to go to a local shop.

    Speedwobble

Aaaaargh, the wobble returns! After three weeks of no wobbles, the bike was wobbling like Jello this morning. Nothing has changed to re-introduce it. Weird.
