    Regen Braking for e-bikes ?

GMAC's argument focuses on longevity of the brakes and safer stopping especially when going downhills on cargo ebikes. Of course, who wouldn't want a free battery recharge while doing all those things?

    Regen Braking for e-bikes ?

Now to put more fuel into the fire of confusion, a new geared hub motor loses it's free wheel advantage in favor of a clutchless (more durable) design for regenerative braking and with advanced programmable steady state when coasting (simulating a freewheel)...

    Extending Battery Life

However, it is more fun and feels more natural to go faster on a slight downhill as compared to power cut off above 20 mph and the non electric rider just flies by you.

    Ravis battery talk

I use a timer for my charger. I set it 1-2 hours charging time since I know it will partially charge my battery (within the 50-70% SOC sweet spot). And then fully charge it just before having another bike ride.

Specialized Turbo Creo 28mph Electric Road Bike

Peak power of only 240 watts and peak torque of 35Nm means this ebike is meant for riders who are already physically fit and want to have an edge over other competitive riders. At least, it provides consistent power across a wide cadence range for a very natural feel while pedaling.

Need a folding e-bike for commuting from home through ferry into NYC

Here are another lists of the folding ebikes but not all of them can be easily wheeled when folded.

Need a folding e-bike for commuting from home through ferry into NYC

And the alternative would be? The go cycle requires the wheels to be removed before folding, so that's not ideal for quick fold-unfold and it is more cumbersome to carry the wheels instead of the battery with a shoulder strap. The other light weight folding I see is the Qualisports Volador but...

    My new Brompton Electric

Most likely, the magnetic comtacts need to reposition to have a firm hold when going thru the bumps. Interesting lightweight (30 pounder) ebike, targeting the inner city streakers, mariners, RV'ers, and the last miler crowd. More practical and better serviceability than the fancy Gocycle.

    Gear ratio on Bosch CX

That's why I mentioned, you need to bring it to a machine shop to fit the inner spline. Shave just a little bit of it.

Bosch CX vs. Yamaha PW range questions

Both motors are equally efficient in terms of how much energy consumed per actual mechanical power (in watts) produced. It's more a factor of the design of the controller algorithm on how much juice is released into the motor. Assuming that the overall weight are equal, the one that consumes...

My e-bike has been banished to the garage

While your ebike is stowed away for the winter season, keep a volt meter handy so you can maintain your charge within the voltage range with the longest battery life. Usually from 65%-75% charge. https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries

Need help with the C6 Controller

When you are in default screen, the "Power" label pertains to the sliding bar that goes up and down according to the amount of juice you extract from the battery. It has nothing to do with the mode setting that you chose (eco, normal, power).

Tired wrists? Could be your hand positioning.

Putting more of your weight away from the handle bar and more to saddle relieves overall stress to the upper body. However, your spine will absorb most of the bumps, especially at high speeds where the bumps are magnified. That's why suspension seat posts makes more sense on ebikes.

Is it the battery or the power display instrument

Battery capacity slowly degrades over time. As long as you have reasonable range per charge, you should be fine. Also, cold weather decreases the battery performance and range.

    Stupid E-bike games?

Hypermiling is popular among car owners especially to hybrid cars such as the prius. Owners basically brag on their achievement to attain 100 miles per gallon on some side street journeys (low speed rides). To make a comparable achievement, you need to know how much watthours of battery juice...
