    Flat tires

Funny thing is, I have no idea what is causing them. I park the bike when I get back and then I notice the bike has fallen over because the air is out of the tire and the geometry between the tires and kickstand are out of sync. It doesn't seem to be anything significant like a nail or thumbtack...

    Flat tires

I boughty ebike about a year and a half ago. It came with CTF 27.5x2.4 tires. (I've never had any kind if fat tire bike before.) I've had 3 flats so far and I'm just wondering if it has anything to do with the size of the tires or the brand. For me, this seems like a lot and since the latest is...

How's the bike infrastructure where you ride?

I am in a city called Windsor, Ontario. It's on the Canadian side of the border across the river from Detroit. I'm surprised at the walking/cycling paths that have been built. Nice asphalt. I won't say the bike lanes on city streets are great but if you want to go for a nice scenic bike ride...

What's your opinion on the "Idaho Stop" law?

I agree with treating stop signs as yield signs. With a bike, you tend to be going much slower as a maximum speed and much less obstructed view. If there is an obstruction like a building or a hedge, then it might not be appropriate. I think it was in the 70s or 80s that they decided to make...

    Speed vs battery life

I was looking at my speed with zero assist or with it set at "1" and I seemed to be going around 12 miles an hour. I think that would be a decent speed to go to get throttle only range while not taking an unusually long time.

    Are these songs the same?

Clapton was a ripoff artist regarding Layla. The piano portion was stolen from Rita Coolidge.

    Speed vs battery life

Has anyone seen any videos or done any tests to see how much speed affects distance? It would be interesting to see if you can get a few more miles per charge by reducing your speed by 3 or 4 mph. I assume just wind resistance alone would be greatly reduced.

    Help understanding bike path

The dotted line means you are supposed to signal and go into the rightmost lane. Maybe take up the whole lane for safety purposes. That's what I think, anyway.

Canada to restrict class 3 ebikes to 20mph

What if you take your bike to another country for the winter? Can this over the air update be disabled?

    Help please,

Does it have some kind of voltage display that might tell the condition of the battery?

    Help please,

One thing you might try is to make sure your hands are not on the brake levers, just to make sure you aren't triggering the kill switch. Another thing might be to hold the tire with your free hand to see if that resistance causes it to stop ( while you are on the stand).

    Bicycle light

My ebike came with a front light. I haven't been using it because I have been riding during the daytime and didn't want to waste battery power. Then it occurred to me that the amount is probably relatively small and they would act the same as running lights - allowing me to be seen a little...

Do you regret buying (or not buying) Step-thru vs. Step-over frame?

I only regret not buying a woman's bike when my pants don't stretch enough for me to get my leg over the bar.

    Which brake first?

I would never hammer on the front brake alone. The rest of the bike might keep going. Especially on wet or loose surfaces. It all depends on the situation. Equal pressure on front and back seems the most logical - like in a car.

Experienced biker but new to e-bikes

I would get a bike that is inexpensive but covers your needs. You are not suddenly going to become an Olympic athlete at your age. Get one with a decent warranty and a brand name battery and make sure you can get it serviced if necessary. Some people want to spend $4,000.00 on a bike. I would...

    New bike - Honeywell

It's around freezing now so I'm not riding too far. I went out again for 5 minutes and I noticed that when I got up to speed with the power assist and then let go of the thumb throttle, it seemed to drag the speed a lot. When it was in assist level 0, I didn't notice it. Am I imagining things...

    New bike - Honeywell

I think for setting the speed on the speedometer, it didn't give both options so the circumferences must be similar enough. It had a setting for max speed so I set it for 50 km/h (about 30 mph). Didn't seem to work from what I could see. I will try lowering the wheel size temporarily to see if...
